Recovery is not an app...........and uninstalling the app does not get rid of the recovery ...

Do you have the LG Optimus USB drivers installed onto your PC? if not go to the All Things Root Guide sticky / Tools & Utilities: LG Optimus V drivers.
Do you have the SDK installed on your PC? if not go here: New pre-packaged ADB installation
If you don't get the proper output at the end look just a little lower where it gives you a fix (this just explains how to manually enter the path to the adb.exe.
You will also need to extract the Xionia recovery.img from the .zip (save the actual zip for later).

Once you have everything set up correctly put the Xionia recovery.img into C:/SDK/platform-tools (on the C drive, in the SDK folder, in the platform-tools folder)

When you got all that done, let us know.

You can also try sammyz's KDZ guide as well. Either or, makes no diffference.

Rom Manager is bad news. No longer supports the v, And the other optimus phones are not the same as the v. So don't use there recoverys. Rom Manager leads to bricks!!!
