Default debrand and unlock and etc

i seen this Unlocking ZTE Crescent: OSF II SIM Unlock Steps but people have a problem with step 8

is there another easy way similar to this or not that will defo work

if not how can i remove all orange apps and improve battery power

Look in the all things root section here, the blogspot post isn't very well written, the guide on modaco.com is the one to follow from what I can gather.

Haven't debranded myself yet, just got phone today, to be honest so far, the bloatware doesn't seem too invasive.
