how do i get rid of the orange menu and messaging service?

hi,
i am new to andriod and got a the san fran 2 for my 18th but i dislike the orange menu and message serivce
how do i change this as i have seen other people do

Are you referring to orange tools? To get rid of that your phone needs to be rooted and a system app uninstalled.

Stk.apk. That is the name of the file to work on. As far as I know it is safe, n I have got rid of it. Best to save a copy of it before uninstalling it thou. You can use an app called Root Uninstaller to get rid of it. Head over to the rooting section of the forum for your phone if its not yet rooted.
