Happy How do I add a new ringtone to my san francisco?

Hi there

I'm new to the forum, I've had a san francisco for a while now, but having given it to my wife she wants a new ringtone.

The phone is standard, it's not been rooted.

I can access the sd card ok, but can't seem to locate where I can put new mp3 type ringtone that the phone will find. I've trawled the forum and I followed advice about creating a media/audio/ringtones folder which I did. However, having put the mp3 ringtone in the file, the phone doesn't pick it up.

There is abviously another location that the phone looks at when it's listing the ringtones, does anyone know where I should put the ringtone?

Is there a free app I can download onto the phone to ease the process?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
