"Application not installed on phone" - Samsung Galaxy S Plus

Play Store on my phone doesnt work, it always worked before but when i restarted my phone, Play store and various apps i have are not working, it says "application not installed on phone".
Help anyone? :L

ditto on this, from a galaxy note user.

it happened after i had received an auto update, which rebooted the phone, but failed to install. 90% of my apps, including my play store are a generic android icon with a small sd in the corner, and get the application not installed error when clicking.

i thought it might be the SD crashing, but my photos and media on the sd are intact and display properly, along with two or three sd installed apps.

anyone at all?
