Mediatek Source Code

HI,
Wondering if anybody knows the way to go about getting the source for a phone?

I have a mt6575 based phone that I messed up. I playing around with a possible jtag solution, but I don't have a good backup of the original rom.

I would like to build my own but can't find the source code. I've Googled left and right but the closest I get is that "Mediatek hasn't released the code".

I've sent some email's, but never got a response.

Any info/help would be appreciated.
