Is there a....

Is there a wireless charger out there I could still charge my tablet if it's off the charging pad? If so what's the name of it?

I failed at finding anything on Google.

You see my Charging port sucks on my nexus 7 2013. It got so bad no cable would stay in the port.

Asus refused to fix it at no charge because it was "physical damage" which is true but I did not cause the damage.

Anyways, I have and extra warranty through Walmart so I sent it in and the port is still loose.

Or does anyone have advice on what to do? I always try to charge it when I'm not at home. But sometimes I have to use it while it's Charging.

Sorry, it has to be right on top of the charging pad. The way how it works, the pad has a transmitter coil that generates electric field, and your N7 has a receiver coil that has to be right next to that field to "absorb" the energy. Wonder if you can get a couple of thin velcro pads to put on top of your charging pad and back of your N7 case and have it attached that way? Then, use a longer usb/micro-usb cord to give you some freedom of moving around?

The new wireless charging technology called A4WP could charge a device at long distance, but it will need you to have the exact receiver inside the device(N7 is not). Besides, this technology is supported by Samsung but still far from mature. The charging current is too low compared with QI, the charging station is very big and it generates a lot of heat than QI. So i think you will need to try QI wireless charging for now.
