Hi there, I've been having this problem where I keep having to edit my hosts file on my tablet becuase all Google services will stop working. Basically, I have to add a # infront of this "127.88.148.190 android.clients.google.com mtalk.google.com"and thats the only way for any Google applications to work, like the playstore and Youtube.
I dont know the technical reasons behind it, but it works. Anyway, my problem is that I have to do this ALL THE TIME and it gets incredibly annoying. Like after I fix it, maybe an hour or so later, I will have to go do it again because a copy will show up underneath the old one like this:
#127.88.148.190 android.clients.google.com mtalk.google.com
127.88.148.190 android.clients.google.com mtalk.google.com

Its really getting on my nerves and I dont know why its happening so frequently.
So what I would like to know is, how can I permanently solve this problem? If there is no permanent solution, is there anything I can do to make sure it doesnt happen often?
Im on a rooted Galaxy Tab 8.0 if that matters.

Also Im very sorry if this is a really dumb problem, I just couldn't find anything about it

Can I ask do you have a solid backup. Just extract good one and only edit what you need put in system and SET CORTECT PERMISSION . DO A REBOOT

I don't know what your firmware is but this will wipe your root and put it back to factory without root without twrp

But put the firmware in the box on the right side mid-point of the page:cool::rolleyes:
