Help Forums app login

So I feel kinda dumb, but mostly just annoyed. I made the mistake of not writing down my login information and now I can't use the app. I'm not even sure what my username is, and the account info page on this site didn't exactly make it apparent. Password recovery won't just let me use my email, which is baffling considering how many services let you sign in with Google. (Practically everything I use is Google, and I'm on an Android device, yet the Android Forums app had proven the most difficult to log into. -_-) I even tried clicking a link in an email I received from a previous question, to no avail. Both app & email tell me to contact the administrator, but I don't know how to do that, and frankly I'm tired of wasting my time looking for this information when I can just use the browser version, as I'm doing now.

Anyone have any useful info for me?

It may not be apparent, as it could reasonably be assumed the site parsed it from your google account, but the username you're registered with us is your real name: "Jared Hutcheson".

Thank you, though it's still kind of confusing because whether I tried 'Jared Hutcheson', 'jaredhutcheson', '***mod redacted for your protection***', etc., it still only called into question the password.

I've moved this to the Suggestions Box & Feedback area where the admin team are most likely to see it.

Have you logged in via a PC? Like Hadron mentions, if you're using Chrome, that allows you to view all usernames and passwords if they're stored.
I pretty much always tell whatever device I'm using to never save any password. It only occurred to me recently how problematic this could be, and I guess this is the one I overlooked. Though I think there was added confusion because I joined the browser version using my Google, but then the app made me make a password when I first used it. I think...

Well if you can use the browser, presumably the browser has your login information stored or else you'd not be able to log in. So just check your browser's saved passwords.

Otherwise, Phases is the administrator here, just email or PM him.
Hey so I hate to have to ask yet another question, but I have no clue how to get in touch with this Phases person with only the name available to me. (Btw I tried password reset with the username 'Jared Hutcheson' and it told me it couldn't connect to the forum and that I should contact the administrator if the problem persists, and boy has it been persistin'!)

If this happens again, simply uninstall the app, then reinstall the forum app and login again with your correct credentials.

that way, the mobile app will remember the correct login.
