Mods HTC BLINKFEED on a Non-HTC Device [Root only]

As the thread title states,I'm interested in side-loading BLINKFEED (SENSE TV would be a bonus) to my rooted/ROMMED T-MOBILE NOTE 4.

I had loaded BLINKFEED on a few other rooted/ROMMED devices fairly easily(OPPO FIND 7/OPPO N1/1+1) all running CYANOGENMOD 11,just a matter of d/l & extracting the apks & loading up the apps.

However,I'm not having the same ease w/the NOTE4.
The apks load up,but,as soon as I open BLINKFEED & try to add "feeds",it force closes.

I'm guessing editing the build.prop might do the trick (I've made a copy of the original, just in case things get ugly).

Any ideas as to which lines I would have to edit?
I have an idea, but,I'd like to check w/those who have experience/knowledge in this area.

THX!

I posted this in other thread about where we were talking about this

here is the video I used showing how to change the build prop to get milk music on the nexus 5

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsZlJihvsys

it was fairly easy but it does require you to have the pro version of root explore to change the build prop file to writable so you can manually edit the make and model there

I finally got BLINKFEED to work on the NOTE4:
After extracting the apks from the zip file,I had to move the apks to system & change the permissions to R-W-R-R.
Once that's done,I opened each apk (HTC Service Pack/HTC BLINKFEED/HTC Weather/HTC Clock,in this order),& voila'! :)
Just by luck,I stumbled across a post somewhere to which an individual was trying to get another mfgs apk to work on a SAMSUNG device & had to move to system/priv-app & change the permissions.
BTW,I did not have to alter the build.prop.,but,that may have worked.I wanted to exhaust all other possibilities before resorting to that.

Only thing left is to figure out how to get the theme (color) options to work, but,I'm good for now,it's been a long day & otherwise,it's 100% functional.:)

I've since got the color options working, using BLINKFEED MANAGER & BLINKFEED CHANGER from the GOOGLE PLAY STORE.
If you have to use this, you may end up w/a floating shortcut to these app(s).Haven't quite figured what's up w/that,may be something lost in translation (on my behalf) but, after you select which color you want for BLINKFEED,just go to MENU > SETTINGS > APPS > & clear cache/force stop BLINKFEED CHANGER/MANAGER & the floating shortcut disappears & all is good.

Give it a few days,it'll probably get better. That & some maintenance updates might be improving battery life:

Also,I'd mentioned SENSE TV:
Tried the same as I did w/BLINKFEED,no dice.The app opens,but,it's just blank,then f/c's
Oh well, the native SAMSUNG TV apps aren't too bad,an improvement on what I remember from the NOTE3 & NOTE 8.0.

Once again,ENJOY THE NEW PHONE!
