Keeping an eye out for the update, rebooting periodically to check/prompt.
On a somewhat related note, the PHANDROID NEWS app has been f/c when selecting comments/replies,for about a week now.
Tried all the usual remedies/clear cache/force stop sign-out/sign-in,uninstall/re-install,still the same.
I just go to the browser view if I want to view the comments,or reply,no biggie, just thought I'd mention it while I'm here.
My apologies for going off-topic & if this has already been mentioned elsewhere.
That's being replaced.

You want to talk to Steve about that one.

With regards to the new annoying flash that appears on every forum listing ...

It uses a LOT of space.

Is it really needed. Do you really have tell me over-an d-over-and-over that you have added a forum, that I have absolutely no interest in? If you insist on telling me about it ... can't you tell me just once?

I am a premium member with the benefit of no ads. IMNHO this should include your ads.

When the page is initially displayed it does not reserve the space for the announcement. The announcement is added a few seconds later and everything under it is shifted down. So ... about to click on a dot to take me to the first unread post and before I click it the display shifts down and I have to reposition to select it.

In the notable members page for trophy points, is there a way to filter out staff members? Seems that AF's focus on members helping members is lost in a bunch of counting stats accumulated by staff. Staff is already recognized with badges and our own list. I'm not saying don't give us trophies, but have a place for the bulk of the members to be recognized.

Or could we possibly increase by an order of magnitude the points awarded for best answers? It could better showcase the folks helping solve problems. Plus, it may take 30 posts in a thread for someone to work out the solution, but the member would only get a single best answer for their efforts.

It's probably not a big deal, I'm just thinking out loud after seeing the new trophy system. After all, not only am I "Captain Awesome," but I am an "Android Forums Celebrity.":D:p

I also noticed that members who were awarded trophy points for 1000+ posts during the changeover to XF now have been additionally awarded points for 500 posts yesterday ... and in their points list it is listed chronologically by when the points were awarded, not when the thresholds were reached. I'm sure it will befuddle some users.

The whole points thing has me confused.....
I got 10 points yesterday for introducing myself.......
Pretty sure I did that a year and a half ago. I feel like I should have more points than I have, but at the same time the whole thing needs explain ed in length so that we all understand it.
You get 5,000,000 points for understanding the point system.

Which is why you won't see anyone with 5,000,000 points. ;)
