Root [ROM] MTDEV-MIUIv4 build 20130102 [BETA]

MIUI's default launcher doesn't have an app drawer. It is designed to create an iOS-like UI. You can however download a launcher off the market (Nova, Apex).

Or you can drop all the apps into a folder and use that as your app drawer (as there is no limit on how many apps you can put into each folder.
Using another launcher you lose a lot of the theming possibilities.

The build is working perfectly, no issues so far, i'm not very good with this stuff, so... please can you guyz tell me where is the all apps icon? or something alternative(currently i can manage app only on the home screen, is this the right way?)

Just long press on your home screen and select new folder call it apps then you can drag and drop all your apps from the desktop into that folder! Any6time you install another app you will have to put it in there but it works great for me .

HI, i was wondering if i flash my mt to a higher rom than stock froyo 2.2, will it let me install higher games that before said it's incompatible with my device from googleplay?

Some. Google play looks at a few things. One is the phone being reported (that's what the thunderprop was about) and another is the OS reported. If you run a GB ROM it should see apps that art built for GB, as long as the apps aren't requiring certian phones.

I'm sorry.. where's the download link for this ROM?
The current one doesn't seem to be working.

Help anyone?

It looks like the links are down. Perhaps a PM to g60madman (the OP of this thread) might prove fruitful. I don't have the latest build (20130102) but I do have MTDEV-MIUIv4-20120525.zip on my hard drive. I would be happy to upload it for you later today when I am back home and on my main computer. Drop a reply here or a message to my inbox and let me know.

Thanks! I'd love that~
It'd be best to link here .. in case others like me are looking for this > <

To be clear, the things that wouldn't be working with that build would be
only the camera and video ?

I just installed the May 25, 2012 build and confirmed that no, the camera is not working AT ALL :( When you click the Camera icon it displays "Camera error: Can't connect to the camera" and then closes. One thing to note with this is that you will need an older version of CWM to install it. I normally use b_randon14's CWM v6.0.1.5 which will NOT correctly install this ROM though I have successfully installed it using CWM 5.0.2.6. If you don't have a v5 CWM I can upload mine for you as well.

Because of the camera issue with this ROM I have not spent any time running it other than to install and verify that it works. I have, however, had very good luck with MIUI 2.4.20, which can be found here:

http://androidforums.com/threads/ro...mph-updated-07-27-2012-gb-2-3-7-based.557735/

MIUI 2.4.20 was based on Gingerbread/2.3.7 (if memory serves correctly) and aside from some lagging issues it always ran rather well for me. The camera is FULLY functional on 2.4.20-v3, including the front-facing camera and video recording. MIUI 2.4.20 does not require the specialized gapps .zip that some of the other MIUI ROMs required. indrora posted a "Final" version 2.4.21 that I have not personally tested, although it may be worth giving it a shot if you are feeling adventurous.

~~~~~~~~~~
I saw your post about how to change ROMs, though I haven't yet left a reply there. As long as you are even just a little bit computer- and tech-savvy you should have no problem at all getting the correct CWM Recovery installed and going from there but, as stated before, let me know what you need help with and I will do my best.
