WIFI TETHER on MetroPCS and maybe T-Mobile and other networks

*******ROOT ACCESS IS NEEDED FOR THIS METHOD*******

Hey Yall

I think I found a way to WIFI TETHER and BYPASS that MetroPCS wifi tether block page without using a user agent switcher thingy! I have no clue if this will work for other MetroPCS phones or for people on T-Mobile/ other networks or for CDMA phones and other GSM phones but hey can't hurt to try right!!! Okay I have the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit on MetroPCS and just like yall I was looking for a way to tether to my laptop, but I wasn't successful until right now I don't have internet access at home and the only internet at my home is through my phone so yeah I was looking for a way to tether to my laptop because I really hate tethering via USB. This method should work for both 3g and 4g phones. Thid method I'm using requires only 2 apps whch you can download in the links below. The 1st one is a wifi tether app and the 2nd one is a VPN app. SO LETS BEGIN!!!!

First Step - Make sure you're rooted and than DOWNLOAD these 2 apps in the links below

1st app - Wifi-Tether TrevE Mod *ROOT ACCESS NEEDED*
info - App looks like a yellow wifi signal. This app needs root access and this app will tether your phone via wifi

READ WARNING FIRST before proceeding on to 2nd app

*WARNING - BECAUSE WE'RE USING THIS VPN APP, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW SECURE THE VPN ON THIS APP IS SO USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE THING YOU HAVE TO KNOW IS THAT IF YOU USE THIS APP, CHANCES ARE YOUR BROWSER PRIVACY MIGHT BE ENDANGERED!!!! SO BE CAREFUL, USE A 3RD PARTY APP OR A BROWSER ADD-ON TO HIDE YOUR STUFF.

2nd app - VPN in Touch Free *NO ROOT ACCESS NEEDED*
info - App looks like a white circle with a reddish shield/wifi signal type thing and a blue banner on the top left corner with the word FREE on it. This app applies the VPN to your phone which HIDES YOU AND THE TETHER USE!!!

*DOWNSIDE TO THIS APP IS THAT IT'LL TIME OUT SOMETIMES BUT JUST REACTIVATE IT AND YOU'LL BE GOOD

NOW THAT YOU DOWNLOADED THE APPS MAKE SURE TO INSTALL THEM

Second Step - Apply setting configs for the wifi tether app

Once you've downloaded and installed the 2 apps go into Wifi-Tether TrevE Mod and go into settings

*THESE CONFIGS WORKED FOR ME SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF IT'LL WORK FOR YOU SO SORRY IF IT DOESN'T

Here are the configs

Change Device-Profile ---> Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Change Setup-Method ---> Netd-Ndc (master)

CHECK BOX FOR ---> Send Netd Max Client Cmd

*THIS NEXT STEP IS OPTIONAL IF YOU WANT TO SECURE YOUR WIFI, BUT IF YOU DON'T CARE THAN SKIP THIS STEP

CHECK BOX FOR ---> Enable Wifi-Encryption
Make a password in Change Passphrase
And if you want to name your wifi than go to Change SSID or otherwise it'l be the default name - AndroidTether


CHECK BOX FOR ---> Wifi-driver reload
Wifi-driver reload 2
Enable Access-Control
Routing fix

NOW THAT CONFIGS are IN, GO AHEAD AND ENABLE THE WIFI TETHER APP

Third Step - Enable VPN in Touch Free

Once you've enterd configs for the wifi tether app and enabled it, go into the VPN app.

A pop up will ask if you will trust this app or something like that so just trust it but remember what I said in the first step

You will see a grey background with the word DISCONNECTED and a orange button under it with plugs that are unplugged.

Click the orange button and background will turn orange with the word CONNECTING... on it

ONCE VPN APP SAYS CONNECTED, YOU ARE PRACTICALLY DONE

Now that you have your apps set and you see the wifi tether icon and the 2 VPN icons than go to your laptop

Access your wifi settings

Look for AndroidTether or whatever name you named your wifi

Connect to it

Go into your browser and WAH-LAH you are surfing the internet without a user agent add-on
