If I know me at all, and I know me pretty well, I will get the Note 5

It's not just from the rumor mill chatter that convinces me of this. It's the fact that I've had the Note 2, 3, and 4 and have loved them all!

So much so I'm convinced I'd be good with any. Heck, the note 2 is still sweet! But sweeter is better and when it come to my mobile experience, well, I've come to realize considering how much time I spend on my phone for both play AND work - it's never NOT worth the upgrade to me.

Anyone else excited for it - even knowing so little about it - just because you know you'll love it regardless?

I shall update on one contact with the S6 in July and then in October sell it and get the Note 5 on my second contract upgrade (actually my wife's I pay for, she'll be fine with me having her new phone) which should be available by then). I adore my Note 3, it is by far the best phone I've ever had, it is taking gargantuan willpower not to get a Note 4, that realistically I cannot afford or justify. 2014 no upgrade and waiting year, 2015 I can't wait for. :)

Looks like a great phone. From the rumored picture, I think if they do go with those kinds of backs, they should remove the Samsung print and ingrave it very small on the bottom middle of the device. Just, I think its kind of a smack in the face with that logo there.

Heck, maybe when the time is right, I'd get a note phone. I love my Note tablet so much.

I also had the note 2,3,and just got the 4. I was able to trade my Note 3 plus $175 to get the Note 4 in a Craigslist deal. Still holding onto my verizon unlimited data and my upgrade if I ever choose to use it. I'm sure I will get the Note 5 by the end of this year I'll have that itch again

i agree with you Chong^ hope they don't get rid of the removable batter and sdcard slot.. i love the note 4 and it works great.. the battery is pretty good..lasts me 8 hrs or constant heavy use.. plus i have an extra battery and charger dock so i have a spare to quickly swap out incase im going out for along time... i know they will always improve their camera and battery and the S6 turbo charger sounds much better then the note 4..

Considering the N0te 5 apparently has the same display as the Note 4, but loses the sd slot and replaceable battery, my guess is not many current Note 4 owners will "upgrade" when it truly seems a downgrade. This will likely be ugly for Samsung. It is actually a very costly upgrade if you have an sd card already, since have to pay premium for their internal storage that in total is 32GB less than the Note 4 with 128GB SD.

Samsung's leadership bubble is about to go POP!

Added: After today's presentation that bubble might be going boom. Yikes.

I couldn't resist & had to re-visit this thread. :p

Guessing that expectations dating back to December 2014 don't exactly line-up with what we have today,we're all curious:
Is this the one time you take a pass,or,are you un-Phased by all the naysayers & proudly wield the Note5 ?

I agree that moving to the Note 5 from the Note 4 is an incremental switch. However, there are some advantages to do so. In my case, as a 72 year old fellow, just how many more upgrades do I have left? Ha, many I hope.
On my 4 I have 96 GB of memory, of which I have 32 GB available. I don't see 64GB on the 5 as a problem for me. I like the idea of a 64 bit processor. As to battery usage, even with my 4 I always have a Mophie handy, especially on the golf course when I use my SkyDroid tracking program. Easier connecting to TV and Computer, live streaming to You Tube (Great for the Grandkids), and an improved Camera, front and back, all add up to an improved package in my opinion.
So, my Verizon preorder was done yesterday. Friday the 21st I get the 5.
