Games like The Island: Castaway?

I absolutely adore this game and would love to find similar ones. For anyone who hasn't gotten this game it's pretty unique. You play a person who got stranded on an island and have to search around for items, food, etc. It's definitely worth the five dollars.

How to avoid force close/freeze/crash and burn

How to avoid force close/freezing/phone reboot while playing: "QUIT TO MAIN MENU" every so every three to five minutes and every time you enter a different area. Then reload the game from the main menu (tap on "PLAY".) Here's the review: this game must have horrendous memory management and memory leaks. It was running fine before I paid $5 for it. Oddly enough, after I had paid, it started force closing and rebooting my phone. I reinstalled and restarted from the beginning, but was having the same problems. This game has other annoyances as well: an opening nag screen that splashes ads for other G5 games; the offensive nag screen requires user interaction so it can't be bypassed. (G5 wants to make sure you look at their ads, and I won't buy anything for G5 again just because of that offensive splash ads.) A pop-up reminder that would not go away until you leave a review for this game. (Minus one star for the offensive pop-up.) Players cannot manually save game, and the auto-save does not save frequently enough. My final verdict of this game: The buggy, intrusive implementation spoils the fun.

Lol I know this is 3 years away from your question, but there is this game called Virtual Villagers. It is really nice, it was made in 2006, and the last game was made in 2010 (Virtual Villagers 5)
They all have an amazing goals and tasks. It is such a real life experience, it inspires me! Although you don't get your own character to mess around with, you get to mess around with the other villagers. For example you drag them to make them go where you want them to go..
Anyways, I shouldn't spoil it too much, so go check it out okay?

Oh and btw since its such an old game you can get it free. But if you prefer to buy it, there are so many ways to do that
