Help Charging problem

Hello all I'm new to the forums and was hoping that someone could help me with an issue that I have just encountered.

Basically, I own a samsung S3 galaxy mini and i have had no problems with the phone since I got it in February 2014.

Today however I noticed that whilst my phone was plugged in it was not charging, I unplugged and plugged the charger again but still nothing, I turned the phone on and off and tried every socket in my house but still it is not charging.

I currently have my phone plugged into my Asus tablet charger and it is charging, but obviously I would like to solve the issue as my phone is very important for my work.

So, does anyone have any idea as to why the charger suddenly stopped working? It does not appear to be damaged externally at least.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not very tech Savvy haha :).

The important thing is that at least the phone is charging, you can pick up a new charger a lot cheaper than a new phone for sure. If the charger comes with the cable attached to it, the cable could have gone bad, or any kind of electrical problem within the charger itself. Could be the tip of the cable too, every once in while I have to swap cables because the head doesn't fit tight in the phone anymore. If you want to see if the charger is totally dead, try charging something else with it like an mp4 or video game console and see it it works there.

Sounds just like my house, lol. We literally have a basket full of cables and as you said, some work with everything, but only two work with a very finicky fablet of mine!!!
My wifes S3 mini is very fussy about usb leads - we have about 10 in the house, but only 2 of them work with this phone - they all work with lots of other devices. I suggest you try a new (preferably Samsung) usb lead.
