Root Root and tether

Hello,

I just rooted my Casio C771 M150 using the auto root script on this forum. It works great. So, I decided to try PDAnet. It installs, seems to be working. I am able to start the wifi server, set up name pw. My tablet connects to it. However I still cant surf. I keep getting the Verizon built in hotspot prompt.

So, even though is rooted maybe still getting blocked by VZ?

Do I need to use anything else, am I missing the obvious? This is my first try.

I see that PDAnet may not be compatible with the C771, any other way to tether? Bluetooth does not appear to work either, not sure if USB is the answer.

TIA

Regards,
Rtr.

If you are trying to make a wifi network form PDAnet, if I am correct, it will make one and a Verizon wifi hotspot icon will com up as well. If you haven't paid for the hotspot service, it won't let you have internet access. The way to get around that is to use a rooted tether app to make an ad-hoc network. However, your device may not see ad-hoc networks. If that is the case, you can try USB or Bluetooth. pdanet desktop with pdanet/foxfi app works great
If you need more help or I didn't end up answering your question (i do that sometimes :p) just send me another PM
