Hey... I have an unrooted Alcatel One touch Evolve (all stock obv) ... if there is any way i can help (with assistance from someone who knows what they're doing) i'd be happy to help.

im assuming i'd have to root it (which i planned on doing soon) to give u the files

im newb. forgive me. :D
I think you might be able to help me. If its possible can you ADB pull the whole of your system (/system) partition and share please. I'm in need of some system apps to revive my Evolve. Thanks.

Bro!, I would help you, but most of the people here got their one touch's bricked, i will pass you the apps, if you can tell me how the hell you got ADB to pull stuff out, cause ADB doest let me, my phone is also bootlooped
Honestly I cant pinpoint exactly what I did, but i always manage to ADB pull and push stuff in it, also ADB Shell works fine even when bricked. I remember installing busybox, mayb thats the why.
Thanks bro, I managed to get the apps, it woke up but then I tried installing a modded gallery app, now am stuck at bootlogo, unable to revive it even after pulling out all my hair. I have a full backup of the freaking phone but unable to flash it into the phone, sp-flashtool demands an authentication file.

I really appreciate everyone's help here. I have an alcatel onetouch model 5017B which I think is an evolve. It is a GSM capable phone and I have used in on GSM networks in the US. But, I have moved to Canada where textnow provides no cell service. Here's the problem:

It's from textnow.Textnow claims the phone is unlocked by they have installed a ROM to prevent its use on another network. To me this seems to clearly just be circumventing the law which requires that the owner of a phone must be able to unlock it from its original network. However, if there is a way of replacing that ROM, that might do the trick.

Any ideas of where to find a replacement rom and replace the one in the phone or is this just hopeless. The phone still works generally fine on wifi but obviously I would like to buy a simm here and get back n cell towners for when wifi is not available.

THANK YOU for any help you can provide.
