Root [Virgin Mobile] Trying to install a bloat removal program, having ClockworkMod Recovery issues

I'm somewhat new to all this, admittedly, but I think I've been doing good thus far.

After following along with a guide, I finally managed to root my SGH-i747M so I decided I'd try installing ClockworkMod Recovery so I could flash a bloat removal ZIP ("mrRobinson-Ashaman.v3.02.zip") but I've run into issues.

For some reason, the device is unable to mount /sdcard/ and /emmc/. I've tried formatting the MicroSD card to FAT32, FAT, exFat, etc., but the CW Recovery screen just continually prints "E:Can't mount /sdcard/".

The CWRecovery version I'm using is just called "CWM-Recovery-LTE-SGS3-v5.tar.md5". I have no idea whether that particular version is the latest version as I can't find an official site for CWM and the ROM Manager app told me my device was unsupported when I tried installing CWM from the app.

All I want to do is remove bloat apps, or if possible, find a bug-less custom ROM that is bloat free (preferably also ODINable).

Any help with anything I've talked about would be greatly appreciated.

Try twrp manager from the play store it has a twrp recovery for youre at&t phone im guessing the mount points are messed up with cwm you should be able to run youre debloat program note it doesn't remove all bloat so you will have to uninstall some system apps manually if you don't want them.

Oh cause sgh i747m is at&t galaxy s3 same model number. If youre on virgin mobile flash philz recovery because the recovery youre using now is for a at&t phone
Ah, well that's quite weird. Where would I obtain philz recovery? I really wish there was a central database-style site of this stuff where you could select your phone model and carrier and whatnot, and it would bring up download links for all sortsa root stuff.

There are no Odin flash custom Roms. You flash Roms in recovery. In the u.s. that model s3 is for att. Here the virgin one is sph L710. Not sure the APN will match your phone for either one.
this is the cwm official page for downloads. Cwm recovery is a little limited. Philz is an advanced version of cwm. But the regular cwm recovery will suit your needs. Debloat programs are a nightmare, just debloat it yourself.

Weird. Maybe we got some AT&T models up here in Canada? I've Googled the model number and Virgin Mobile and results have come up for SGH-i747M's from Virgin from people on various rootkitting sites.

EDIT: Re-read your post, I see what you're saying now. Here's the thing. I don't know which programs are safe to remove, and which are required by the phone. I don't want to end up bricking the damn thing. Is there a list out there somewhere of all the various system apps that come on the phone by default, and which are safe to remove that I can reference?
