[Official] Cricket Referral Discussion Thread, No Links

Yes, i am surprised too! Come on people! I know someone is ready to get paid!

Are you sure it is a referral email needed, have you tried clicking on one of our links and getting the referral code that way and simply calling Cricket and giving them the code to enter, I know others have done that before with no issues. Most will not want to post their email addy in this thread. Referrals are based from your mobile number not email account, when we create a referral account, we only have to submit our mobile number and we can post any email we like. So many don't post their personal email addy. Try with a referral code that should work for you.

I believe what the poster is seeing is a screen that shows up if you don't have an email with an unlock link..

What I would do is just find a link in our referrals thread here and start over if it hasn't been thirty days.. Most of our links shouldn't ask for an email..

Unless its different if you already have service established.. If so just use one of our links and then PM whoever you use.. I'm sure they won't mind sharing their email with you

This is what you should be seeing if you click on unlock, make sure you are clicking from a PC and not a mobile device, if you choose to do so by Mobile, make sure you try it through a browser, see below image.

I did tried on pc on few different links and i do not see that screen you posted. maybe some kind of glitch on my cricket wireless account is present.. that is my only guess. I did called customer service but no help and half of time i could not understand what they are saying.

Check your PM and our referral sticky on this forum.. Use my link if you would like (first post in the referral thread) and I sent you my email, should be in your PMs.. Hopefully it works, if not it is probably a glitch with the referral site..

I gave one yesterday and the user had no issues and didn't need an email and I just tested this morning and didn't see a screen asking for an email

Its probably some verification BC you already have service they are probably just making sure you didn't find a link online and actually know the referring person

***if someone has already sent you a link by all means use theirs first if you can get their email.. I am not trying to steal anyone's referral.. I just provided my info BC this is your last day and I don't want you to lose out if they don't respond***

No problem! And yes unfortunately there are probably only a very few of us who are actually active that post in the referral thread.. Most are "drive by" post that come get a referral, post theirs and never return lol.. Nothing wrong with that but it would be nice if they became active haha

Glad its working out now! let me know how it works out when they send that email! And your right free money! I haven't paid a cricket bill in 6 months lol

Here's a question for dstephe9 or any other of the referral experts. I have my link posted in the referral thread, and I see a few folks have used it - woot. Thanks folks.

I got three emails from Cricket on January 20th that three seperate referrals had been approved, and that the credits would be applied to my account within 4 weeks. Well, my service renewed on 2/20 and I was expecting no charge since that was more than 4 weeks after the emails with the referrals. No dice. I got charged the $45. I figured it probably just missed by a day, but I logged in to my Cricket account today and I still don't see these credits applied (so it's showing $50 due on 3/20).

These are my first three referrals, so I've not seen how this works yet, so I wanted to check with folks that have done them to see if I should just sit tight, or if I need to call someone to see what's going on. I was going to switch from the Smart Plan to the Basic Plan, since I rarely go over 1gb in a month, but I was afraid to do that until my credits showed up.

Any feedback from the pros that have done this before would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

I haven't had any referrals post yet from the new system so I can't really say.. I am still in the "wait 4 weeks" which like you should be up.. I'd imagine it'll be soon I hope! My oldest email is from Jan 30th so my 4 weeks should be up this week or next.

They should just post eventually, all mine from the old system did.. Give it a few more weeks and if they don't post email

support@cricketwireless.zendesk.com

They are very helpful!

Also make sure your phone number is correct in the cricket referral program.. If not the wrong person might be getting them!! Haha, that wouldn't be fun!

Thanks for the feedback dstephe9. I just went back to check dates. All of these referrals were from around 11/17 or 11/18. I got the email from Cricket on 1/20, which would indicate they had been customers for 60 days, assuming they signed up around the date they did the referral.

It sounds like you got the same email that said, "You have earned a reward as the result of your referral to XXX" and "The referral credit will be applied to your account within the next four weeks and will be reflected in your account balance." I just switched from the Smart plan to the Basic plan, and I have 19 days until my next billing, so I guess I'll sit tight for a bit, and then hit them up if I don't see anything.

Thanks again,

Gary

Same here, I have a few since the new system, that said I received 2 credits to be applied to my account, but still have not seen those credits to my account. IMO I prefer the old system, but I guess it's still too early to say.

Here is the info on the email posted, I guess we have to give it the 4 weeks they mentioned to be posted to the account.

You have earned a reward as the result of your referral to **************.

109pfbpndy0iDjZ9PNgDlHsjioGiAkfA9v5tUJonJCjfYSTni_K-s3wuNtSTREvzuIrfmm25NpdRNViRth3yy338_9DRvDqyGHZBzZgbL2KQknw3r4eXGQ=s0-d-e1-ft

$25 Cricket Account Credit
Quantity: 1
The referral credit will be applied to your account within the next four weeks and will be reflected in your account balance.

Just got word from two people that they saw sparkrefer credits come in today.. These people sent the referrals on Nov 19th..

These are the first confirmed referrals that I have heard of actually being paid out by the new system so they are on their way!!!

Keep an eye on your accounts. I however have received none yet

Still a far cry from 60 day to a 120 days, you figure once you get email notification that you have received 2 credit and will be attached to your account soon, it should not take that long, especially when they say that one the person is signed for 60 days of service, you get a credit. Sounds to me that the Spark system is slowing down our referral credits. My guess to this is most likely some have been signing up, and have been closing their accounts after 60 days, so with this sytem, they buy themselves a little time to see if the member stays on Cricket longer then 60 days and if not then they don't apply the credit.

The 2 that I having pending credits for were done on Nov 28th and signed up also on the 28th, which makes that 3 months plus, and then they say I will see it in my account within 4 weeks, so add another month, that 4 months from signed up.

Had $125 in credits post today! Yay

These are the credits that where approved on Jan 30th so the new program does take a while to post.. The referrals where actually started on Nov 19th

Not complaining but just giving this info out for those on the new program.. Expect to wait over 4 months to see the actual cash in your account

Too bad the referrals take a long time. Cricket service is great. How long does it take for the referred people to get their credits?

From my past experience, for the old system withing 10 weeks I got the credit, now it seems to be between 3 to 4 months, I still have pending approved referrals and it's been longer then 3 months. Just speaking from my experience so far, from the new system, I have still not received any credit that say are on there way.
