Pretty sure its the same for all.I don't have an L710T to play with, so I don't really know what's going on. Is this the same camera problems that all S3s have on Lollipop, or is it specific to L710T?

Kitkat works. Messing with stuff right now. so far, no apparent bugs. The rotation is quick too. It seems like every since kitkat that feature has been slow. I do know the radio seems to break with most aosp kk roms if youre on virgin. Tonight I can retest them.I guess I'll hijack this thread, since discussion seems to be happening here.
I'm working on getting fixes in place for the rotation issue on AOSP. The build that ElwOOD_CbGp posted was just a test to see if I was on the right track for a fix. The change I made in that build fixes L710Ts but breaks L710s. I put together a new build that won't break L710s, and if everything works, I'll try to get CM to pick up the changes so a custom kernel won't be needed. Can someone test one of these builds to make sure both rotation and uncalibrated compass orientation are correct?
Lollipop: MediaFire Dev-Host
KitKat: MediaFire Dev-Host
I'm not familiar with exactly what problems the L710T has, other than the rotation issue. Can someone PM me to bring me up to speed?

cm11 m10. battery life wasnt great. was interactive gov but its a lot better with intelliactive gov. I havnt done any deep sleep tests so I dont know yet but I try to keep any autorun apps under control anyway. i can really see some apps like fb being able to eat it up quickare you getting good battery life? which rom you running with the new kernel on vm?
The stock camera problem in LP affects all L710 models. That will require its own kernel fix.
Man well I guess those of us on Sprint are just out of luck with AOSP unless we can get someone to fix APN's. I have got the rotation to work on both octOS and Slimkat however I only have 3G on octOS and no data at all on Slimkat. Bummer.
Nice work decimalman getting the rotation fixed. Can you do anything about these issues I am having? Cheers
Thank you for taking the time and helping us with these issues.
I'm still on stock/rooted TW 4.2.2. Once LTE on Sprint gets sorted out, I'll for sure try out some AOSP ROMs.
Meanwhile TW isn't too bad. I've frozen or deleted most non-essential apps/processes with Titanium.
it's simply a patch file that is encrypted....connect to kies and see what it says there...So I took the AO3 baseband update and it was a real pain breaking root. It took the better part of a day to get root back with the help of possum72.
Well today I am seeing another update. It is titled simply "update.zip" 83.6mb in size. Has anyone seen this same update? I am on sprint. If it would help I could upload it tomorrow.
I think the update you are seeing now might be meant for the l710. It prolly thinks your phone is if youre running Wicked x. If I remember right, thats about the size of the update that downloaded when I flashed it back to stock.. my old l710 i mean.So I took the AO3 baseband update and it was a real pain breaking root. Octos yes use the D2bst builds.Kitkats well you'll have to try and see which ones will work like before. Is it OK for us with baseband AO3 to flash the latest OctOS-L? How about older KitKat 4.4.4 custom ROMs?
So i have sprint and im on liquidsmooth 3 and what worked for me for the APNs was flashing to stock tw, then flashing LS, then the kernel mentioned above that fixes rotation, then flashing this https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bze1kOAjEQyoX05iVC1VNl9IdFE/view?usp=sharing and then adding this apn exactly and after a couple of reboots the LTE and MMS worked perfectly and everything works perfectly for me and this rom.Man well I guess those of us on Sprint are just out of luck with AOSP unless we can get someone to fix APN's. Wouldn't for me either. But only tried it once.Had to go back to lollipop [emoji12]Is it just me, or does sync not work at all with the kernel that fixes rotation?
I've tried both CM 11 M10 and Liquidsmooth 3.1 (WiFi didn't work on that one also), and both wouldnt sync gmail or contacts or exchange mail or contacts. With their default kernels sync worked just fine.
For data/LTE to work on Sprint Prepaid, all you have to do is change the APN. The zip file isn't needed. You'll need the APN changer apk installed though since CM 11 M10 and Liquid smooth don't expose APN setting .
I thought the link posted a page back for new kernel from 3/1 fixed rotation? I've inatalled it on OctOs and now cm11 m10 and I still have the rotation bug. Maybe I'm missing something? Is the l710t version linked somewhere else in that xda thread?
But I can't get GPS to work on M10 so I just went back to wicked X. Usually flashing back to stock getting a lock and then going back to the rom it wasn't working on will fix it but not this time for some reason.
Ugh. I think I know what's up. This build should fix it. The change I made will break GPS on newer ROMs though, so normally I don't include it in any builds.
Do all cm11 versions work with new kernel on L710T?It works, it all works! Sync, and everything! Thank you! (for me GPS worked fine on the earlier build, but sync didn't)! Finally can just use CyanogenMod!
No more crappy stock roms which would always screw up PocketCasts' sound, and just overall be slow as molasses.
