Samsung Netherlands put the handsets up for preorder today, and thus confirmed the pricing for the two handsets, at least in Europe. The Galaxy S6 will start you off at €699 for the basic 32 GB version, which is in line with each and every flagship preorder on the Old Continent so far. The 64 GB model would be sold for €799, while the 128 GB variant will be priced at €899. The price will be more expensive than its rival iPhone 6.

Unsurprisingly, the price of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be similar in US. will you buy the dual-curved display Samsung Galaxy S6 edge?

The S6 Edge will cost significantly more, no doubt about that, it's the premium model. No carrier subsidies available here. Don't know how well it will sell though. I've never actually seen a Note 4 Edge, not in a showroom, nor in the wild. Seen plenty of regular Note 4s though, but not many S5s. iPhone 6+, I've seen plenty of them.

I personally think the Samsung Edge will be the best selling phone of 2015

Depends on where you are probably. Almost certain where I am it won't be, too expensive. I've not even seen a Note 4 Edge yet, not for real. This year especially, seems Samsung has been losing out to makers like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo. iPhone 6 has sold well though I think, seen a lot of them.

The idea of voiding the warranty just to install Google Play doesn't really appeal to me. Think will be sticking with something like Oppo, Vivo, Meizu, OnePlus or Xiaomi. :D ...and save some money as well.

Wait.... your warranty is VOID if you install Google Play? Does that apply to the S6 as well? I thought Android was intended to have Google play on it right out of the box?

FWIW I prefer to support manufacturers, where they don't invalidate warranty, just because I want to root, change the firmware to what I desire. And in fact Oppo, Vivo, Meizu, OnePlus and Xiaomi(all Chinese), actively encourage rooting, ROMs, etc, and provide information and support on their own company forums.

BTW Meizu, don't even have to root to install Google(GMS), they provide a Gapps package you can just sideload.

In fact we had a post this morning, concerning a Googleless Samsung from the PRC.

"I've been to China and bought a new phone - my first smartphone, and it seems to be quite good: Samsung GT-S7272C. There is a couple of things, though:

1. I can't get it to run Google Play Store; as soon as it starts, it seems to get shut down."

Good luck!

...and there was another a couple of days ago about a China Telecom, CDMA version HTC One M8, again about installing Google as well as the possibilities of using it in the US.

My friend just went from the s3 her 1st smart phone to the S6 Edge she got it on Tuesday! She loves it!
Yup , I also went to the retail shop to try a Samsung Galaxy S6.
It's awesome! feeling good on hand.

the only thing i was afraid of is that it seems very easy to damage and so fragile for its pretty looking
the video shows it's not easy to be repaired, Samsung Smartphones likes the princess on the pea
