Help Screen replacement on your own, is it do-able?

I dropped my phone like a stupid piece of sh*t face first, this beautiful massive screen now full of flaws.

I have looked around on the web, it seems that I have two options:

1) Let the 'pros' do it and charge the 'labor fee'.
2) Buy it on ebay and repair myself

I like option two

Has anyone attempted this task yet?
It seems rather straight forward, I'm a tech guy, I fix computers as a side job while in college.

This is my first phone of this type (paid for myself mind you).

I'd like to have some sort of pre-info.

Perhaps I will make a YouTube video How-To on repairing it unless that has already been done.

I do have the extra 5 a month for insurance so if the sh*t hits the fan I could get some cruddy refurb from AT&T .

If you guys have any useful info I'd appreciate it.

Much obliged folks,

Regards from SUNY Fredonia,

GA92.
