hi,
i am new to this forum so if i am in the wrong place i`m very sorry.
i am a 67 year old pensioner so not very good with modern phones. i normally use an iphone 5 but the digits are very small for my eyes. so i bought a refurbished samsung s3 gt-i9300 because the screen is a lot clearer for me and the digits are larger. the software on it is 4.1.1 . but from yesterday when i try to use the internet app my phone it goes straight to a BT FON website which asks me for payment before i can use it. i don`t know if this will be any help but i am with sky using yahoo email NOT BT.

thank you in advance.
ps. please keep answers as simple as possible.

First of all... welcome to your Android Forums, Bungalow111 :) I can assure you that, although you're not our youngest member you are by far not our eldest as well. You'll be fine here :) And as a former user of the S3, I can vouch for your good choice; a solid phone!
Okay, your question... Problem solving is a matter of deduction.
First... Refurbished you say. Please try this if the browser app came pre-installed: go to your phone settings (in your menu bar), choose applications/application manager, find your browser app. By clearing cache and clearing data you will lose all of any old usage of this app.
If this isn't helping , please give your location (country) and tell us if any other apps are working fine on your Sky connection (are you sure you are not on wifi?)?

hi kaat 72
thank you very much for your reply
i live in the uk. i have done as you said, i have cleared ALL the apps cache on my phone just to make sure. but about the WIFI, i thought that this had to be left on all the time to get any connections ? so just to find out i did disconnect it then connect it again and found that it WAS connecting on the the BT FON settings.
please advise.
