Help Samsung Galaxy Alpha battery life

Hi,

Apologies, if this is already answered.

I purchased Samsung Galaxy Alpha a couple of months ago, and saw a very peculiar thing about its battery life. If I go out on a sunny day, my battery life drains faster as compared to when its a little cloudy. Strange thing is that I did not even had the 'Auto brightness' feature on. I checked all the settings thoroughly but there is no other option to do anything like this. Anyone aware of this happening with their device?

I carried out this test around 10 times.

Please note, while testing, there was no background tasks going. So, basically the amount of usage was same in both sunny and cloudy weather.

Thanks
Ishaan

The answer to the mystery is that the battery is a complete failure. It's a joke. Had Samsung put a better battery in this phone, it could have been a much better seller. I strongly believe that the poor battery is one of the reasons why it was discontinued.
I agree that Alpha just like S6 has the small battery Thinness Syndrome.
Alpha has a big advantage- carry a spare and at about 20 % brightness you can get 4 hours SOT from each Battery.
They used the same S5 Sensor but intentionally clocked down to 12 Megapixels to not compete with S5 ( ?¿)!
IF the Alpha was thicker with the Note 4 Camera and slightly better screen- naybe 3 Gigs RAM - like a Note 4 Compact - would have been a huge hit worldwide...IMO.

I'm not a gamer, etc so "heavy" battery usage is not an issue.

I'm not light on daily usage either. The Alpha gets unplugged at 4:30am. Surfing, forums, text, Facebook, etc for 20min at breakfast, 15min and 30min on my work breaks. S Health is running all the time. I'd say another 1 hour at least for the rest of the day. Couple of calls. By 9:00pm there is 20-35% left on most nights. One benefit is the Alpha charges a lot faster than my son's G3.
