Help When I remove an app, how can I ensure that no remnant files/folders remain?

What's the best way to uninstall apps? I've noticed that when I use the regular method (Android OS's own way), there are sometimes remnant folders/files left behind. This happened, for instance, when I removed CleanMaster.

Is there some app that thoroughly removes an app and all of that app's installed files and folders?

I highly recommend the X-plore File Manager but I've kept my previous favorite, ES File Explorer, installed as a secondary.

On a recent update, I was surprised and pleased to discover that ES File Explorer has a new, and I believe very nice, feature -

Now when I uninstall something, and enter ES, it pops up and tells me that a recent uninstall has orphaned the following list of files/folders, do I want to delete it?

I'm not sure how or why that works or what it implies but it's pretty nice if it works.

I usually say - "What's this piece of crap doing here?" And then long press to get to a fast delete.

Thinking about the new ES feature led me last week to lock my Nova desktop to break me of the habit.

Long press an app now and there's no uninstall option - instead, a reminder that I'm locked and asking me what I'm trying to accomplish.

Talk about a hard habit to break! :D

I just always uninstall by Settings > Apps > Select app > Clear cache > Clear data > Uninstall. That has always kept things neat and tidy.
This is what I've been doing as well. I really like the latest updates to ES File Explorer, so much nicer now.

Why ditch clean master when that does exactly what you're looking for?

That and perhaps so MUCH more. Good luck with your continued use of Clean Master.

I recently lost my best friend ... walked away. It was becoming more and more tedious and time consuming to separate the lies he was telling from the truth. Those who defended him would point at this truth and that truth from him and point out how positive and supportive they were.

The problem was simple ... there are only 24 hours in a day and I simply ran out of time sorting the lies from the truth.

Clean Master ... same problem ... same solution.
