A

Android Question

Guest
I copied everything from my android phone onto PC by simple mouse click, slecting everything and dragging it onto PC. Now how can I read my contacts from PC. My phone is gone. All my contacts are residing in PC. I checked contacts folder, it was empty. Where are all contacts ....

The contacts are in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases. You can't mount that directory and copy over USB to PC, and need root to access it at all.

If you want to get your contacts to the PC this way, open your phonebook and in the app's Settings select the "export" option. This will write your contacts as a vcf file on your /sdcard, and that you can copy and import to apps on your PC.

If you synced the contacts then you have a copy in your Gmail account anyway. If you no longer have the phone (which seems to be what you are saying) that's your only chance now.
