yay all worked fine thanks . nandroid and titanium backups done also.

what is the best way to allocate part of my sd card for internal storage ? my s2 only has 2gb and it often wont let me instal apps saying there is insufficient space. i have in the past tried to move some apps to sd (before rooting) but when i re start the phone the apps i moved are greyed out and when i click on them it tells me the app is not installed ??

I would say if you have any queries or questions probably best to start a new thread in the forum rather than adding onto this sticky.
In answer to your question I don't think you can run apps from SD card, I think you can move some of the data to SD card on some apps, I know I used to always do this with my S2 but I think it may not be possible anymore. Check in apps>select an app and see if the "move to SD" is greyed out.
I still don't fully understand what permissions were removed (in ICS I think if I remember right) with the writing to SD but I know there are apps to give you more SD privileges but I don't really know what they are or do. At the moment I have ample space on phone and SD so not bothered looking into it recently.

I have an experience with that rooting stuff, I have rooted my phone which is locally made and then I updated my OS. I'm not with the do's and dont's of rooting, that's why my phone was crashed. I'm still waiting for the release of their OS

Great advice on the nandroid and safe proceeding way of handling risky business such as rooting and roming. I got lucky had no nandroid or any backups for that matter. all I could do is keypress my way into TWRP system showed 0 internal anything!! downloaded Xperion ROM onto Sd card in another phone put sd in this phn and flashed ROM by way of TWRP & here I am.

I can't find anywhere on the internet the rooting procedure for an Android phone: LG L70 D320N KITKAT 4.4.2
My device is working very slow and.. it's very annoying at this point.
I've tried to install several booters and I've unlock the developer mode.
Rooting softwares tried but failed: Towelroot, SuperOneCLick and Kingo Android Root.
Sorry I am not that good at this so...
Please I need help!

Hey Claudia! check the forums here for a root and recovery method for you're device, Developer mode comes ready to unlock by tapping the build number within settings on pretty much every phone out there, and its good that you have it handy as most phones kitkat- Lollipop have tighter security built in to better prevent us from rooting/tweaking our own phones! crazy right but as many ppl like myself who want root and custom this & that, there are just as many folks who want tighter security. Anywho if you can't find a root and recovery guide for you're device here in Android Forums or XDA Forums Than Google is you're next best bet. I'm not sure what you mean by "booters?" and ya most one click root apps don't really root anything but JB & under these days, towel root use to root the L70 but its been updated and doesn't anymore. and rooting alone is not gonna make you're phone "faster" it can open the door for what type of tweaks, hacks & apps you can get busy with that can modify you're device with, and potentially make it run a lil faster/smoother but other than trying Kingroot app until it stops around 50% er so then taking battery out then putting it back in to possibly finish the job & root you're phone. Other than that lil trick you're more than likely going to need to hook you're phone up to a PC via USB cord where you're going to need to use debbuging option within the developers menu options you had mentioned that you opened,& root that way. I highly recommend you look into unlocking you're bootloader or using lokified TWRP or CWM recovery to bypass bootloader which can only be done after you're rooted because anything can go wrong and you may soft/hard brick you're device. So ya Google & read up on you're device specs & all pros and cons & ins & outs & ups & downs to learn what it is you're trying to do and how you can go about getting super using privilages on you're device by way of root/jailbreaking and best of luck to you! root is just the doorway to custom recovery, flashing custom roms. running init.d scripts etc. etc. I personally won't bother with a phone unless I've made sure I've done all the necesssary homework on any phone I'm gonna buy first & make sure I can easily root and have a custom recovery on it!

Ya I just used Warrenty Voiders Data on SD hack zips and have 12G's of internal/partitioned placed data showing for internal memory. Beats Links2SD & Apps2SD with a big ol stick and is veeeeeery simple to incorperate. I'm lovin it!!! Thanks Warrenty Voider!!! & perfect knickname I might add.

Where can I find out how to back up my phone and how often should I do it?
I image my pc on a regular basis and cannot imagine having it not imaged so I want to have a phone backup to recover in case of disaster. I am new to phones so I need to be pablum fed, in a manner of speaking.

Is there a way to make a back up of you phone in its pre-rooted state, as it currently is? You know, just in case the desire is to go back to a factory stock version and have it in the state just before it was rooted. Because, it seems to me that a Nandroid backup is for "after" a device has been rooted. Am I missing something here, Chief?

I just read where Verizon has made it impossible to root -this is recent.
I have my phone backed up using the back up and reset that Google offers and hope that is sufficient ands it says files passwords apps etc.
I just retrieve all from the google cloud hen I sign in to Google -agreed?
Is my info about the latest big red move correct?
I am only a few months phone user and trying to maximize my Galaxy s5 but without root all I can do is get ES file explorer and a different launcher than Touch Wiz. I am stuck with bloat. Too bad I am on old geezer or I would no come near V again.

I wrote post number 45 and don't want to be redundant.
I backed up with Google as I am not rooted due to Verizon's new change. I am interested in Nanroid's backup as it is better + more comprehensive than the Google backup.
I read the article but am confused about Nandroid's steps and the large files that consume ram etc..
Where is there a tutorial for a beginner that will help me with Nandroid's back up which is similar to the pc image with VSS and which I use all the time with Macrium Reflect. I would not use a pc without a system image.
Should I prepare for the Nandroid image and how do I go about it?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, 16 GB 1.8 ram, Verizon.

You need root and recovery for Super user access for a nandroid backup. Just the way she works ;-(
