Good travel guide for a week in Washington DC?

OK, I'm overwhelmed in the Google Play Store and searching this forum gives me more hits than I can digest (so many inappropriate - I guess I need to go to search school), so like a newbie, I'm asking.

We're planning a week trip to Washington DC this fall and don't want to carry a guidebook (they're so old school).

I need an app that will help me get around town to the sites I want to see and perhaps includes some nice walking tours.

I don't need hotels (have that covered) and tons of restaurant reviews (I know they are all ads in disguise anyway).

I don't need info on the government buildings - there's enough of that on Wiki.

I need info about the museums and other sightseeing attractions. GPS nav would be a plus.

Free would be good, but I'm certainly not opposed to spending <$5.00 on something if it's better than the free ones.
I don't want an app that asks for too many permissions either. The first ones I looked at wanted access to my contacts? What for? To spam them? I don't want to share my contacts without their permission.

My phone has droid 4.2.2 on it. My carrier is MetroPCS/T-Mobile so I expect to have good coverage.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bob

Thanks, that's a start.

Note to the mods, sorry for the triple posts, I tried 3 times, got a server error every time, and figured it didn't get posted at all, so I came back to try again and lo and behold, it was up and you deleted the duplicates - thanks - and sorry to be a PITA.

Bob
No worries on that. If you could only see the carnage from all the server errors.

How long are you going to be visiting D.C.? You can spend a week on the mall alone and still not see everything.

Do you have an idea about what you'd like to see or want some recommendations? Frankly, there's so much there, it's hard to suggest anything beyond the generic travel-type apps that might give you too much information or over-generalize.

Let me know what type of things your looking for and maybe I can make some personal recommendations. D.C. for me is a 3 hour drive and we go rather often (And I still have plenty I want to see.)

I used TripAdvisor in Prague last year and it was good, but I couldn't couldn't find one for DC in the search box.

Thanks again,
Bob
It's in there.

What tripadvisor seems to have done is removed the individual city apps from play store, and put them into the main app instead. Search for the city in the main app, and it gives you the option to download as shown in screenshot attached to my previous post.
Thanks for that, as I was wondering what happened to TripAdvisor Beijing. Probably easier for admin and updates, just have one APK which downloads the appropriate database you're interested in.
