Text Expansion

Okay, I will happily and temporarily rejoin Google+, which I despise, to add a kudo for Text Aide. Then I'll unjoin Google+ and crawl back in my hole.
Haha thank you!
One thing I would suggest to mollify operations is to have it automatically chose an Accessibility method, so users aren't forced to make a decision they don't want to.
Android doesn't allow this. Malicious apps can misuse accessibility service. Hence, the manual settings.

Also, I have released a new update which should be active in a few hours. If those background crashes happen again, please do let me know

In fact. if you take a closer look at your running apps, I'm sure under Text Aide you'll see 1 process and 1 service for Accessibility. Which means that nothing else is running along with it. If you do see more than 1 process, let me know.

For other Text Aide features, I use different processes. So they are unrelated to Accessibility and vice versa.

Oops, I thought they stayed there with no name. Anyway, I can still see it:

A Google User
See 'Text Expansion,' at http://androidforums.com/threads/text-expansion.927690/, for a detailed itinerary of my indoctrination to Text Aide, a wonderful little thing that makes digital living worhtwhile.

I still use Text Aide all the time, but one little quirk I've tripped over: it's very easy to accidentally delete a macro entry... it'd be neat if there was a confirmation popup before it vanished forever.

This is all I see, do I need to turn something on?

Not sure if you were kidding or not haha. So, just to clarify, I did not mean SD card.

Regarding the screenshot, well, sorry! My phone does not have an external SD so I never tried that. I think it takes some dirty hacky workarounds to access external SD cards on KitKat & above, as Google doesn't like them anymore. Will have a look at that later. Please use internal storage for now

And regarding Snackbar, well that's very weird. I just tried it on a Nexus S Jelly Bean emulator which has 480x 800 resolution and everything works fine. I asked some of my friends as well. Everyone can restore those cards after deleting

It only appears when you remove a card.
Remove the SD card?
I did not mean SD card.

Still don't know what you mean by 'card,' apparently you mean a macro entry?

Did the reinstall. About the snackbar, I did get it, very briefly, just after a delete. Was probably always there but I never noticed. That works but I don't think that fast. I have no idea how you managed to take a screenshot!

Export/Import works fine on internal.

Still wish the macro entries could be sorted by name, but certainly not a critical issue.

On my PC I use the ancient Texter. I program the shorts and longs, like 'jef' and 'jefboyardee.' Then, whenever I type the short, it types out the long. I keep a lot of stuff in there.

On my droid, I use Clipper+. It works but requires several more steps.

I'm looking for a droid app that accomplishes what Texter does on my PC. I've tried Text Aide but I can't figure out how to make it automatically convert a short to a long.

Anyone here know the trick for that, or of another app or keyboard that does this?
Ah, yet another feature I forgot about blackberry, that I miss, that came even in the most basic model.
