My touch screen does not work on my Samsung mobile. Ordered 2 new digitizers. Looks like both do not work and are faulty. (Checked 1st product with repair shop, second by myself). Returned them and got my refund.

Now I have ordered a 3rd digitizer from another trustworthy supplier. Hoping it should work fine.
Please clarify:

1) What else could be wrong if the product ordered is not faulty?
2) The hardest part is screen separation, which was done and the LCD is perfect, phone functions properly, but for touch. - hence the new digitizer
3) Can I be sure that it is the digitizer that im ordering that is faulty? Do they have a version number? I assumed they work independently and do not depend upon LCD for touch response. LCD is just the display right.. Pls help!

New part ordered from here

Thanks ! And I know this might sound weird. I have my original digitizer flex cable alone. (The cable that got ripped at first place). So I tried to connect it to the phone(just the ripped cable, not the digitizer) and to my surprise I could see faint responses to touch when 'pinching' and 'pulling' the end of the torn part of the cable(the place where the glass screen was supposed to be attached) Hope you are able to visualize it here.?
So do I have hope?
