Is Mr Robot the best show on TV?

I got into it late, but got to episode 5 last night. I'm really digging it. :thumbsupdroid:

They released the first episode online in like June, I was hooked immediately waiting on the actual season to start. They renewed for a second season before the series actually premiered on USA.

Just watched latest episode on DVR last night... Wow is all I can say.

It looks like it might be worth watching, hopefully it's in English, rather than dubbed Mandarin.

No. The walking dead is. IMHO.
Once upon a time, perhaps. I was a diehard fan of the first season. I've lost all cares for the soap opera surrounding a group of people who make the worst decisions possible in every situation and also there's sometimes zombies.

Finally caught up. Those last two episodes had some nice (though not unexpected) twists. Can't wait to see how this season wraps up - and where it goes from here!

*********SPOILER ALERT
So is slaters character real? Seems as though he must be. They've shown scenes with him outside of being with Elliot

I've now watched the first three episodes of Mr Robot, or perhaps it should be called Mr. Junkie? The attention to detail with the tech is very good though, with Linux and Raspberry Pi and things, rather than just generic Hollywood OS computer stuff, or blatant product placement, like the whole world uses either Apple Mac or Sony Vaio computers.

I gave up after the first series of that...it started out OK, but then became rather boring and stupid IMO. Watching Lost was similar.

Protip: wrap spoilers in
...
tags so we don't ruin the fun for others. :thumbsupdroid:

My take is that Mr. Robot has been in Elliot's head the whole time. fsociety, the whole "let's take down Evil Corp" plan, etc, all were created and put in place by Elliot - whether he realized it at the time or not. I do hope that Mr. Robot will stick around in the next season, even if he is a figment of Elliot's imagination.

Now I'm wondering if the rest of the hacker crew (aside from Darlene, of course) actually exists, or were they all also in Elliot's head? I'm guessing will find out in the finale.

Yeah, that's what really captured my interest. There are of course shortcuts and straight errors taken along the way, but (as you say) most of the tech is accurate. The phones actually run Android or iOS. The computers actually run Linux (for the most part) with either GNOME or KDE desktops. I'm hugely impressed by that.

Anyone else agree that USA could care less about how anyone feels about the Virginia shootings and they actually were only concerned with the ratings being low because people were tuning in to the news to watch that story?. They've never been concerned when other events especially hacking events, happened that were very similar to events that happened in the show... Some of which even resulted in suicides in real life. I would have respected them more if they would have just said that. Political correctness really gets on my damn nerves. Where's Donald Trump when you need him
