hi everyone. Waiting on my shiny new Motorola Moto X. Pure Edition 2015.

One of the things that I have grown accustomed to with my previous phone, a now positively archaic Samsung galaxy three, model SGH-1747, was the cool ballistic protection case I was able to buy, off the rack in Oakland a couple of years ago.
I like the ballistic case design in general, with the two-piece construction, the first being soft rubber, and the second a hard plastic outer shell, it has helped my phone survived some otherwise fatal drops.

Can anybody suggest a comparable level of lightweight, classy looking, apocalypse and zombie proof protection for my new Phone?

To kind of hop onto this thread a bit, if anybody has found a Car Dock which works well with this phone, please let us know. I use my phone to navigate every day (not because I don't know the way, but because Waze tells me how bad Boston traffic is today). I have the official dock for my original Moto X and I love the way it switches the phone to car mode. I'm not sure if I can wait for the official dock for this phone (last time it took a few months to come out).

I've got the SUPCASE on the way. Should arrive tomorrow.

I had it for my HTC M8 and my wife has it for her G4 and it's great on those. Adds little bulk and looks and fits like a glove. Best thing is the design gives you good grip.

For those looking at the I-fosmon cases, I've had a couple and they were really good. Fantastic value.

So here is my Supcase (frosted back) and with Seidio Note 5 Dilex Holster. The back of my phone is the standard black silicone.

Fitment is pretty good for using a holster from another phone. You can see a few areas that have gaps but nothing to worry about. Phone is securely in place.

In a way I am glad I have to wait another week, before I get my phone. These mini-reviews, when they come in, will steer my choice of accessories.

Surprisingly I received my case yesterday. Thought I'd put some pictures up for anybody that wanted to know what it looked like. Fit is good. You have some grip with it on and it's not slippery at all. My only concern is if there might be some yellowing over time. Think I'll just buy another if that happens.

Look up Moka cases on Amazon. I bought the black one. Has the softer rubber inside and the harder plastic outside with a kickstand, smallish one and a holster. It'll do till I find something better.

I have the first case shown at the top in black, the Moko. It's pretty nice, has a holster with, no problems yet. I do want a little better made one eventually whenever they get around to actually selling any. I also put a Ivoler glass protector on and it's very nice.

I used the bumper case that came with the phone until I found something better, and I found something better. I bought the Case-Mate Naked Tough Case - Clear. It's a dual layered bumper case that should provide good protection against impacts and a transparent plastic protects the back of the phone. The case doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone and it fits the phone perfectly.
