Well, it's obvious that the hype behind this phone isn't quite there, but considering how many leaks there've been, I figured I'd post the first thread in the PRIV forum, consolidating the Phandroid articles, as well as some other information that's been posted online:

Finally, someone posted dimensions on the Blackberry Priv

Here are some comparisons with other 5.5-5.7 inch phones
Blackberry PRIV
147 (184 opened) x 77.2 x 9.4 mm

LG G3
146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm

LG G4
148.9 x 76.1 x 9.8 mm

Galaxy Note 3
151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm

Galaxy Note 4
153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm

Galaxy Note Edge
151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3 mm

Galaxy Note 5
153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm

Sony Xperia z5 Premium
154.4 x 76 x 7.8 mm

Nexus 5x (5.2 screen)
147 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm

What I'm liking already is that, it's smaller than the Note 3 and Note 4, overall, when closed. I expected it to be slightly thicker, but the width is close to the G4, so that's fine with me. I don't know what the reviews are talking about, when saying that it's not a "one handed phone," but when closed, those dimensions tell me it can easily be managed with one hand. I can manage my Note 3 with one hand, so the Priv shouldn't be a problem at all. I can understand that it wouldn't be a one-handed device when the keyboard is open, but I'd imagine that people would want to use both hands on the keyboard.

I didn't bother putting up the Nexus 6p or the iPhone 6s Plus because they're significantly taller devices.

May depend on your hands. I find 5" phones a bit of a stretch for one-handed use, so have no difficulty believing this one is a two-hander. Or it may be that it lacks some of the software optimisations others there have for one-handed use.

I honestly don't have the biggest hands at all, but I get that it would be based on hand size. If I were to consider "normal" hand size, I'd even say that my hands were smaller than average, but still manage to use the Note 3 one handed. The fact that the priv is close to the G3, I can't see how it would be any more difficult to handle the Priv one handed, as the G3 isn't typically mentioned as a "two handed" device.

I don't mind the size, even with my small hands. I'm using a Note 4 with no problems.
I just have very bad memories of my last few BlackBerry devices, quality control suffered for anything past my 9700.
I've gone beyond BlackBerry and I'm not going back. Especially at that price.

Edited for typos. [emoji12]
