Maybe part of the reason it felt confusing to me was because I was watching with someone who's never seen the show. Try explaining briefly the premise behind the show... it's complicated!

But as far as the episode:
Why did it seem like people didn't believe Nick? Is he having a breakdown & what he thinks happened, didn't actually happen? When Rosalee said something like "what the hell is going on?" she was kind of echoing what I was feeling. I felt like there was just too much going on all at once.
  • Nick tells his friends what happened, seems like nobody believes him.
  • Adalind goes into labor, Nick gets told "you have to get to the hospital right now" so he goes.
  • FBI agent gets kidnapped, Nick's friends call him & tell him "you have to leave the hospital right now" so he runs home to see her & go for a ride.
  • FBI agent is super cryptic about what's going on, gets killed, but not before telling Nick some big war is coming.
We still have the background stuff with the Royals that I never really liked, now there's some new war? I kind of miss the monster of the week episodes!

with all the crap that happened before to them all.. why would it be so hard to believe Nick?
it is safer to believe your friends ... in that reality!

the FBI... was maybe on the good side? but she and her crew.. killed Nick's mother... all the innocent neighbors.

and Adeline .. having the new son.. does not even mention her missing daughter ??? whom she was so desperate to find.
she would sleep with and kill anyone to get back.

the writers need to clean up the story and make things fit back together... or are they just desperate to make it interesting?
if it don't make sense.. I will hate it!
yeah.. they are trying to heard .. and not making it believable that things are spinning out of control..

I agree with some of that.

But it wasn't the FBI that killed his mother or murdered his neighbors. That was the Royal dude's trap that Juliet helped set up. FBI came later when Trouble showed up and killed Juliet

So does anyone else think that Nick and Adelind are going to get it on together? She's definitely become a more sympathetic character. I started siding with her when they all conspired to kidnap her first baby.
They should, her character has really matured and changed throughout the series. Juliet sucks, is ugly, and was a boring character.

I have a little trouble with these 2 getting together. She had sex with him without his consent (he thought she was Juliette because she made herself look like her) & then ended up pregnant. I know it's just a TV show but it's kind of like she raped him. I wouldn't care if they ended up together but I'm not thrilled with how it all came about.

I don't know.. it is one part of the show I don't like. it is TOO much.

Juliette.. the nicest character and weakest, becomes the meanest and strongest.
Adeline.. the meanest character.. she slept with anyone and did anything.. including murder. is now the love interest?? and now the weakest ?

but I am also interested in their romance.. silly!!!

Won't Adeline's powers come back? I thought they said her loosing them was temporary!
I think you're right, I remember Adalind or someone saying something a few episodes back about that. I'm also wondering how long before we see something unusual about this baby, I keep expecting it to have glowy eyes or something.

dad...the only thing a Grimm brings to the table is .. dead eyes.. and can see other wesen
Mom.. is a Hexenbeast (however you spell it).. has powers/magic.

baby... will be an Ugly Hexenbeast.. with dead eyes.
Hexenbeast already have scary eyes.

I still don't get why a Grimm is soo scary to wesens... they don't have any powers/gifts/abilities

I think grimms must be extra strong or at least they are really good at killing wesen: Both Nick and Trouble are both pretty much the bane of the wesen. Trouble certainly saw off all the wesen that have tried to kill her and she didn't even have the benefit of all the equipment and books that Nick had at his disposal.

They happen to be excellent at chopping off heads, basically.

yeah.. like Michael Jordan is great at basketball.
Grimms have a disposition towards killing in general.. they just use it against wesen.
but NOTHING extra special from a normal person/human.
you noticed that Nick's partner can hold his own against wesen too.

I did remember that after Nick got bit by the zombie wesen.. he had started to get some thing extra.
but the writers have NOT mentioned it since. I am still wondering WTF happen to that.

Yes he has enhanced hearing - and I'm pretty sure they recently had Nick hearing something the others didn't but they didn't make a big deal of it. Just had him saying "did you hear that?"

But I kind of think of the grimms as similar to slayers like Buffy. She wasn't trained to fight vampires but found herself naturally good at it.

I did not watch Buffy...
but did catch a few minutes here and there.. as I surfed the channels.
it seem to me.. she was stronger and faster and more coordinated abilities.
NOT super strong.. but stronger.
a normal person can not keep killing vampires!!!!

I was thinking Grimm are like John McClane ... just natural ability to piss off others, kill, and win.
