Root Roms For The Fierce 2

Te recovery is good for all three phones.
use 7040T recovery for the 7040T Pop Icon - and Fierce2
Use 7040N recovery for the 7040N

Hopefully later today i will be posting the rom for the 7040N.

No its not lollipop. It stock. But will un boot-loop your phone if you previously flashed the recovery.img.
And if you can still boot into recovery.

The 7040T rom posted above works but is for the 7040T Pop Icon

I will try to get the 7040N rom up later.

Need lots of testing on the factory roms first before will be any custom rom.
The bootloader is still locked.

Im trying to figure out a way to unbrick phones now. That may lead to more development.

When you say stock. Do you mean stock Android. Or stock Alcatel? Also I haven't installed the recovery yet. I'm waiting on a step by step video when a rom comes out. This is my only phone that I can afford and they stopped selling it. So yeah. But I'll continue to keep an watch on this topic. Am glad to see someone finally trying to make roms for this device. It's just the rom that Alcatel gave it that makes it kind of bad.

The whole point of my work is for protection.
If you have flashed my custom recovery.
You can flash my rom.

So say you boot-loop your phone like many people have.
Loading theese roms fixes it.
And so far this is the only fix i know of.

The only way we will have cyanogenmod is if we get the bootloader unlocked.

Which just aint gonna happen.

But I do believe i may be able to find a compatible unlocked bootloader from a different alcatel phone and make it operational.

On a final note the one touch fierce 2 only cost $50.00 and you can learn alot from it.
Its a challenging tester phone.

Thats cheap education if you ask me. I dont want easy easy is no fun you learn nothing.

In helping a few people fix there 7040t / N phones they have learned alot and i cant even begin to tell you how much i learned. So lots of good came out of all this.

I got a HTC Desire 626s for $100. I an downloading cm12.1 to build the rom for it. Noone built a custom for it yet.

Everything that i learned from this alcatel applies to the HTC as well as any other android phone.

So the bliss for me is the learning not really the rom. I dont even have a working one touch I did all this to learn and help out other people. Not for my phone.

The whole Auto-Key software im still working on is a spin off of this project. And it is universal, works on all phones. And let me tell you. It knocks the socks off of any Kitchen Ive seen so far.

Mainly because everything I had to do to develop this project is build into Auto-key. Now building for the HTC should be a snap.

Again Auto-key is a learning tool. If your interested enough you start reading the shell script. Next thing you know your learning to write your own. Plus learning how to use the all powerful shell to take control of your phone.

So point being. This is a stepping stone. A learning tool.
Created to help others, to teach others, and to hone my own skills.

Worth $50 to me any day.

The other thing I want to add is I am working on a method to Unbrick hard bricked phones.

Since it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon msm8610 msm8612 board the QDLOADER 9008 will allow full repartition of the emmc to fix it.

The good news is there are other phones with the same processor and board that have thees things developed already.

So really I only need to edit 2 XML files with the partition info and give it a go.

Working or not depends if the programmer.mbn is signed or not.

But either way I'm pretty good with keys after working this project.

And without doubt I have gotten slot further than anyone else with this phone.

Bricks are like unplanned pregnancy. You had fun getting there by hey.

It happens. Even to the best devs

Perfect. This is what i was waiting for. Now we can fix your phone. Thank god you flashed the recovery else there would be no hope.

You need to have android sdk installed. Are you running windows or linux?

And you need t load this driver for the sideload to work.

7040 N ROM ONLY FOR 7040N NOT 70407 YES 7040N.

THIS ONLY WORKS WITH THE PREVIOUSLY POSTED RECOVERY FLASHED BEFORE YOU FRIED YOUR PHONE.

Ok boys and girls we are ready for liftoff. I just spent the last 9 hrs puttin this together,

FOLLOW ALL THE STEPS IN ORDER.
DON'T CHANGE THE ORDER.
DON'T RE-BOOT THE PHONE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL THE STEPS.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REBOOT IN-BETWEEN FLASHES.
ABSOLUTELY WIPE DATA FACTOR RESET AFTER EACH FLASH.
THERE ARE 4 FLASHES TOTAL.
PAY ATTENTION !!!!!!

First download all of thees files and copy them to.
c:\android\sdk\platform-tools.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8jitdIyh2NtVlBsMlJnVDYyRFE/view?usp=sharing

#1 If your running windows install java jdk. IF YOU HAVENT YET.
#2 If you are running windows install android sdk. IF YOU HAVENT YET.
#3 Install the driver for sideload to alcatel. IF YOU HAVENT YET.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8jitdIyh2NtVlN2NEdnRWJTbTg/view?usp=sharing

#4 Open ADB in command window.
command window will show path c:\android\sdk\platform-tools.

#5 Reboot the phone into recovery mode.
A) To do that turn off the phone.
B) hold volume down and power at the same time.

#6 Connect the phone to the computer

#7 select update from ADB in the recovery on the phone

#7 in command window type adb devices
A) if you see sideload and some numbers you are ready to flash.
B) if you dont see the above then fix your android sdk install or reload the driver right.
B-1) Alternately if you do this in UBUNTU it is easier. NO DRIVERS NEEDED.

#8 Type
adb sideload n-clean-flash1.zip

Watch the phone screen for any errors.
If you see INSTALL COMPLETE move to the next step.
SELECT WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE.

SELECT UPDATE FROM ADB IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE

#9 Type
adb sideload n-data-flash2.zip

Watch the phone screen for any errors.
If you see INSTALL COMPLETE move to the next step.
SELECT WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE.

SELECT UPDATE FROM ADB IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE

#10 Type
adb sideload n-custpack-flash3.zip
Watch the phone screen for any errors.
If you see INSTALL COMPLETE move to the next step.
SELECT WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE.

SELECT UPDATE FROM ADB IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE

#11 Type
adb sideload n-system-flash4.zip

Watch the phone screen for any errors.
If you see INSTALL COMPLETE move to the next step.
SELECT WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET IN THE RECOVERY ON THE PHONE.

YOU CAN NOW REBOOT THE PHONE.
GIVE IT 10 TO 15 MIN TO LOAD UP THE FIRST TIME.

ONE OF 2 THINGS WILL HAPPEN.

A) YOUR PHONE WILL BOOT UP NORMALLY IF ALL WENT OK.

B) YOUR PHONE WILL BOOT INTO THE RECOVERY IF SOMETHING WENT WRONG.

Either way its all good. If it boots to recovery we will figure out what went wrong and flash it again.

Have fun and please say thanks. I am the only one in the world that has fixed thees phones. I put months worth of work into this.

AND ALLWAYS SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES HERE.

I was just reading over this thread again. I am sorry for coming off as a unappreciated dick. I don't know what was over me that night. I'm not usually like that. Now, on the other hand I still have the same views, kinda, in my own personal opinion. Over the last couple months I've seen you and only you actually doing something for this phone and it is greatly appreciated. I guess I've had this phone for so long that it has come to a complete failure in my time here, up till you started working on it. Another thing is I believe this is the first phone I've had with the smallest, almost nonexistent development and couldn't get a custom rom on. I am currently on the Zmax, but like I said i respect your dedication to this community and thank you for all your work. Hell, maybe one day it will have a custom Cm ect rom and I will still have the phone to flash it on then. It's not a bad phone overall, but the non lte 4G is my main con and reason for not being a daily driver.
