Root Unlocked and on Cricket (At&t Network)

I currently using my unlocked rooted stock Light on Cricket network. Everything is working fine but two minor issues are occurring. Hopefully someone that is way more phone savvy can tell me whats wrong of how to go about fixing it.

1. When I go look under About Device it states that I'm roaming, but the signal icon doesn't have a R on it. I asked Cricket, they claim they don't support roaming so if my phone is working its working and not being charged roaming. But this leads to a second part of the weird problems, since the phone thinks it is roaming in order to get data to work I have to check the box Data roaming under Mobile Networks settings. Any ideas on how a phone determine when its roaming or not?

2. When I go look under About Device is states my network type is LTE but my phone status bar icon shows 3G. I ran several speed test and its well within range of cricket's LTE speed (8mb/down max). I put the cricket sim in my LG F6 as well, it's icon will show LTE. So I'm confident I'm getting their LTE signal but my icon tells me 3G.

As stated the phone is working 100%, just wondering if any of you super tech savvy can help me solve these annoyances.
