Can someone make a app that Continously scans your networks subnet and put's it on a 16x16 grid

Have a option at the top to put in base ip (like 192.168.1.1) and it will scan 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255 and put it on the chart.
Also have an option for the ping timeout on each ip.

Have the chart be color coded like:
White- never active
Green- Active
Yellow- Did not respond last ping
Red- Stopped responding.

Are you still needing this?

I'd be willing to give it a shot

I'd probably make it a bit more detailed, i.e. since you want a "subnet" scanner, you could specify the subnet mask using the full 4 octets or the slash notion i.e. /24 and then the user would just need to type the network IP.

Or we could do one better and attempt to obtain the subnet mask and the devices IP address automatically in which we could use the find the network IP, then we know where the first host address starts and where it ends.

Fantastic! I'll make a start asap.

Sorry I've taken till now to reply, I've been a little busy and Tapatalk hasn't given me a notification at all.

I made a very rough sketch of what i would kinda like it to look like... do what you want i just want the grid and colors at the bottom to look pretty similar to that,
