My charging cable is loose and if moved even slightly it quits charging. I have tried 5 different cables and it is the same. Some just fall of the charging prong. I have carried it in to T Mobile 4 times and finally they sent me a new phone but the cable is very loose on it as well. I have not had time to see if its going to do the same thing. I bought my phone 5 weeks ago and carried it 3 times during the 15 day grace period but no one bothered to note anything in my account so now I am paying for a brand new phone but I actually have a refurbished phone. Is anyone else having this problem.

Hello there!
Welcome to AF:)
I've moved your thread into the LG V10 forum so that others with your device can assist.

With the new device, the new cable that came with it, is loose just like the original?

Edit: also, I added to your thread title to attract more attention. Hope that helps but if you prefer that I revert it back, just let me know;)

More than likely it's your cables that have the issue. Not the phone. Reason I say that as the phones port for charging doesn't have any spring like tabs on it. But the cables do.

There's reasons for cables not working that I have experienced.
The metal prongs that carry current don't spring out far enough, causing it not to make contact.

Junk gets into the end of the cord, not letting it go into the phone far enough.

Or on the end of the cord that goes into the phone you'll notice two little prongs on the wider side of the plug. Those two prongs will loose their spring and won't lock into the phone any longer.

I'd say one of the last two is your issue.

I found that my USB cable heads seemed to be a bit too big for the LG V10 USB port.

Yes, a very slight nudge or tap would dislodge the head from the phone's USB port.

So with a hobby blade or razor (whatever was handy), I shaved a 45 degree bevel into all four sides of the USB cable head. I began each "cut" about 2 mm from the edge.

Worked/works for me.
