Hmmm, sounds great. Thx. The only problem is the version I have works great for the custom ROM* that is available.
*singular not a typo

Kinda bummed. This is a semi-nice phone. Are you developing something?

Right now I am working on making an AIO unlock and root tool as well as getting an unofficial port of CM-13 for the Exceed 2 VS450PP. I have CM-13 building successfully but am having problems getting it to boot.

Cool, I'd be happy with a custom 4.4.4 ROM at this point. I was under the impression that we would not be able to upgrade without a custom Kernel. I think most of the Exceed 2 and Realm crowd have moved to greener pastures. Not me. I never sell a phone, borderline hoarder you could say. Anyway, I'd like to help somehow, let me know if you need anything.

Whoa, Nebraska! I'm in Lincoln, GBR.

Thank you for your work! Nice little upgrade to TWRP 3 from the previous available version for these phones. Renamed it to "twrp-3.0.2-0-w5c_recovery.img" and used Flashfire to flash the image. Rebooted to recovery and it works great!

Sidenote.... I would be interested in testing any type of custom rom you may be working on as well. Have 2 of these phones just for play and learning more about customizing and modding devices in general so I'm not too worried about bricking...

NP. This isn't like those "other" forums.
Unfortunately there isn't much continued development with this device. There is a slightly altered stock ROM.

I have Cm 12.1 installed on one of the Exceeds I have but it has few bugs. Been playing with it here and there trying to get them figured out but Im just learning as I go. Im certainly not a dev or anything close really...

I stumbled accross a link a few months back that had a few CM 12.1 zips someone put together but as far as I know didnt take credit or keep up with dev at all. I downloaded them all but only one ended up working. Bugs are home button doesnt work, led light flashes constantly, rear camera doesnt work and external sd doesnt mount. Had home button fixed at one point a while back I can prob dig up how if needed. Been a while since I worked on it and Im a little more capable then I was back then so may be able to clean it up a little more. I have the rom zip saved somewhere for sure. When I get home from work this evening Ill gladly share.

Yeah, I've got numerous devices and I gotta say the stock ROM on this phone is not to bad. Battery life is amazing. The quick slide tools etc... Idk I think it is functional enough, compared to some of my others, I just use the slimmed down stock ROM. I don't have a SIM for it but I use it for all my browsing and also to transfer files to and from my computer via Wi-Fi and then Bluetooth them to other devices. Battery lasts for day's.

Also works with lg ls620, the realm. If you have TWRP2.8.6(?-latest available) installed, can install from TWRP. Be mindful of the process as you need to back up your boot image and restore it after a two stage upgrade to this 3.0.2 version. Very simple process.
I haven't tried it for this version, but flashify would probabily work for 3.0.2 too.

Big thanks to the dev who brought this version to the w5c's!!!
