Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

Thanks for the link. I actually went thru each of those updates before I switched to CM13.4 beta. First time I flashed CM it kept my LTE but then rebooting into recovery froze and then I had to reflash all kinds of stuffs but have been unable to recover my LTE even though it sees and can read my SIM. In "About" my "Baseband " shows up as "unknown" but IMEi and other things are ok. When I restored my initial back up after the last stock firmware update , it shows the correct baseband but reflashing to CM returns the same unknown error.
My other question is this , is radio6.zip the latest firmware or did we also get another firmware like 7 & 8 bcos the latest firmware I have is named this " 0149e9f8a998444f083b112433abda783bddc567.LS740ZV4_08-LS740ZV5_07_update.zip". I believe I went thru every update till I was told there was no other one available. Another question is how do you turn the radio.img to radio.zip (are there other files needed or can you send me a link with a tutorial on how it's done. I believe when I tried to flash the radio5.zip / radio.img in TWRP I was asked about installing in boot or recovery , which is the right one to choose . Thx , appreciate your assistance

Zv6 is the newest one. The file I linked to is a .zip. Just flash that as is in twrp. Not sure which radio.img file you are talking about.

Thanks for the info. It did accept it without asking for where I wanted it flashed. I guess what I tried using earlier was the radio.img file and that one kept asking where I wanted it flashed to. The radio.img file is always found in the zip file that is downloaded as the "firmware update.zip" file from the carrier. I am sure that is where the radio.zip file you linked me to was created from. Did not improve my situation but I appreciate it. Once again , thanks alot.

Thanks, already tried that but still no luck. Have gone back to stock but still same issue. Will head down to town today to see if it is just an area issue and not just my ringplus phone.

Curtis is there any way to get rid of the volume bar that shows up with the pull down menu from the top ? Great ROM imo, I'll be sticking with this one for sure since it works with google voice unlike the other ROMs.

been using this ROM a few days now and love it. One question:

I use googlecast alot and noticed it is built in to this ROM but I can only access it if I use G2 tweaks to set navigation bar thing to a grid and then CAST SCREEN shows up at bottom after opening grid. Cast Screen worked perfect for me no problems there. I dont really like this Grid on this ROM because its not really Live action it just takes you to settings for most items. So I want to stick with original nav bar icon stuff. But there is no option in the Edit setting for nav bar to check CAST SCREEN, it only has Miracast which is totally different. So how can I either add CAST SCREEN icon to nav bar or create a shortcut on home screen to open up castcreen when I need it?

I do know that google built in CAST SCREEN to android 4.2 and beyond I think it just a matter of how do I access it without using that grid thing in nav bar ? Anyone know the solution ? I shouldn't have to download an app to access this function.

What about making a shortcut on home screen? Where is CAST SCREEN located in file manager?

You could try shortcut master from the Play Store I've had a few situations similar and it has always worked for me

Hey Curtis, again thank you for this. After a pretty long time of use I had to re-flash your ROM. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, just after so many apps and mods it's my time to start fresh. So, this might be a very dumb question but:::
Right now, I'm in Settings/Accessibility down to Audio Type. I've always wondered if I should choose the Mono option instead of Stereo (since the Volt only has 1 speaker down there.) What do you think ? Are we missing any audio because the Volt thinks that there's more than one speaker ? Thanks in advance and sorry if this question is irrelevant to your forum. Good day everyone !

I've been using this ROM for a couple months now. but have ran into random issues along the way that seems others dont have....

My camera will not work.. it pops up but doesn't actually record video.. or take/save pictures anymore.. This is one of the biggest issues I've faced so far with this rom.

How can I install google play store? I tried v.6.7.13E apk. It installs, but once you try to open google play, it immediately closes. I also tried v.5.10.30.apk with the same results.

You have to flash gapps http://opengapps.org

DPI or font size? DPI you can change in the build.prop or with an app from the play store. I'm pretty sure you can change the font size in the regular system settings

ok so i got this installed with no problem and have the basic gapps running and it went nice and easy

thanks for the awesome rom, it looks great and runs well so far.

my only problme is the alarm clock fix. it says to copy over the previous alarm clock in system/priv-app folder. how do i get to this? it says to use a file manager that works with the root. but i have no clue what that means. is this an app for the phone i get from the app store? or is it something for my pc that let's me browse the file structure? please suggest something i can use to do this. then i can go back to playing with the install and seeing what the extras are.

the modules thing is new to me so i have no clue what that is. i guess i'm in for some more reading.

An app from the play store. ES file explorer pro is what I use.

Put the file there again with twrp and set the right permissions (you can do that in twrp also) and clear the caches
