Root Root Guide!

If the last command doesn't work the first time, close the console and open another. Repeat only the port com step and the last command again while still in download mode. Happened to me too.
Thanks..finally got it done.. Had to change my port to 3..all is right with the world.. It still did nothing on the last command but after a battery pull.it loaded up with su..soo happy..now to see if xposed does this thing justice :)

I too was stuck on the last command. With the infamous "Waiting for Device". I've used this method and the One Click Root from Avicooh (which is the same without pushing every command). It took me 4 days, lots of messing with COM# changing, tried and fail on 3 different computers , hundred of forum pages, hours waisted ;-).

Note: Neither ports.bat nor Device manager ports ("COM & LPT") was showing up my phone AND I wasn't able to find a valid way to manually find my COM# nor was able to map a USB port to a COM#.

Here's what works for me:
- Uninstall and find another set of drivers. I was using this one LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN38AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.8.1(0)_2.2 NOT WORKING on my systemS.
This one works : LG-Mobile-Driver_v3.14.1

- In meantime, I uninstalled some old Samsung phone driver that was on my PC (maybe not related)

- Then did this methods and at last it was able to find my phone on COM3. I had to do the MANUAL "Download Mode" reboot. AND it took it SOME time to find my serial port. SO be patient and wait a real minute before trying something else.

Hope it will help somebody as I've lost a LOT of my precious time on this one.

Phone: LG MS395/ F60 Metro PCS
System: PC tried it on Win 7 x32 AND x64.
Original cable
One Click Root 1.2 (the 1.3 version wasn't working) but this Method here do exactly the same that On Click Root.

Hello I know this post is very old and I may not receive any assistance, however I do need help for I am at the very last step and this has been a highly tedious process for me. I've done everything properly but when i Input the
sh /data/local/tmp/lg_root.sh dummy 1 /data/local/tmp/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /data/local/tmp/busybox
command it just says FAIL, Before this it would just put another Pound symbol until I realized I was using the wrong COM, So i fixed the Com and now it just says FAIL when I input that command. I do hope one of you sees this for I am utterly stuck and I no longer know what to do. Thank you!
