Do Not Disturb on Nexus 5X

Is it possible to have a notification on the Locked and/or Home screen to indicate that DND is set?
My phone is set to show all notifications on the Locked screen but this one does not appear and it is easy to forget that DND has been set.

I get an icon at the top of the screen - both locked and unlocked - when I put the phone into DND.

For Alarm Only and Priority Only it's a white circle with a horizontal line across it - kinda like a no entry sign - and for Total Silence it's a smaller version of this with a white circle around it.

Can't see a setting where I can turn this on or off.

Yes, I would expect to see the same. I only can see the DND status on the unlocked home screen when I drag down from top. Maybe when we get upgraded to Android 7 this will be solved for me ... can't think of anything else that I could do.

Just looking in Settings and there are some options under Sound & notification that may be involved.

I have When device is locked set to Show all notification content and nothing in Do Not Disturb access.

I have my settings exactly as yours! So annoying that I don't see this notification ... what part of the screen top does yours show up. far left or right? On the left of mine I have the triangle for Background data Restricted and on the right the other 'standard' ones.

Well I have just found the solution! I have System UI Tuner available in Settings. Status bar for DND was switched off.
