Working great for me, I'm on a sprint version, using ring+. Its fast, stable and working perfectly, without the camera, but oh well, its a poo poo camera anyway. Thank you so much. Didn't change the apn or do anything. I do have one problem though. If I pull the battery with the device on, it factory resets on next boot (I don't do that anymore, lol). Thanks again man, you rock!

BTW, I've tried every rom in these forums and run all of them for at least a few days. Yours is by far the fastest and most stable. I've tried xperion, all versions, cyanogenmod sprint and tmobile, carbon rom, advanced stock. and a few others I forget the names. Your rom is sooooo much faster, its like night and day. I tap on something, a game or chrome or the phone and it actually opens up within a second or 2. It makes this phone so much more usuable. I could care less about the camera. This is one of 5 phones I have on ringplus with the 1000 min. 1000 text 1000mb for free plan. Ive had it for about 4 months and still haven't had to top up on any of the plans, but I keep them monitored.
Anyway, thanks again. This is BY FAR THE BEST ROM FOR THIS PHONE. AND PS (it does work with the sprint version). If anyone want a screen shot or maybe a short youtube video showing that it does in fact work with the sprint model, just let me know:) Seriously, its way frickin faster. Not sure what the OP did, but he did the right stuff.
I've bricked this phone at least 3 times and brought it back with whatever tools and files that the guy who has the owl avatar helped me out with (I just read his unbricking threads), and that guys rocks too. I've gone through so many roms, tried mixing drivers and system apps and priv-apps and just using the newest files from 2 or 3 roms and tried to make a frog in a blender rom, but it never ran well and force closed like a motha f-er. This guy, cyberdev, comes out of nowhere and knocks this rom out of the PARK! (even though I'm not on a tmob/metro device, not sure why it works, but it does. I recommend this rom to everyone (for whatever that's worth). Just try it, if it isn't faster, you can have my phone (this LG phone, I mean, I must have at least 20 phones, I got it for free anyway). (which I completely thought was a piece of turd until this rom, but now, its like it has risen from the depths of crappyness to become way less crappy and actually is a decent phone (for me to tinker with anyway).
Peace

This rom has been under everyone's nose for the last 2 months and noone has commented. Wake up people, the other ones really suck and are waaaay buggy. Except that super stock one, or whatever it was called. It was OK, but it didn't have kit kat and couldn't run all the apps I want to and wasn't nearly as fast. This one is lightning fast (relatively) in comparison.

No problem. I'm not sure why everyone on this forum hasn't tried this rom out. You really did a great job. I did have to make a couple changes is the build.prop and I borrowed a few of the drivers from the carbonrom to get the cdma/gprs/umts or whatever to work with sprint. I changed the default carrier apn in the build prop too. I also took the apn.conf from the etc (I think) file from carbon rom too. I just extracted your rom and the carbon rom, changed the build.prop and replaced a couple files from the carbon rom to your rom and it really works fantansic.

If you need any further testing or any help at all, let me know. I'm pretty well versed in this phone now, only because its so finicky and seems to factory reset itself mysteriously every now and then and I've had to bring it back from being completely bricked a few times too.

People, please just try this rom out, you won't regret it. Its so much better than the cyanogenmod ports and the xperion roms, and the stock and modded stock roms too.

Hey cyberdev, just a quick question, is your ps3 rom linux based? I saw you mention otherOS. Does it have the ability to run ps3 isos? Does it have L1/L3 peek/poke? Does it have an XMB, or does it have a linux based desktop? Does it have an internal proxy/antiban or psnetwork spoof? I have 3 modded ps3s and a ps4 if you need any help testing. I'm running dual boot on the ps3s.
Thanks

Could anyone post some details as to which lines and what files\components of files they used to convert this rom to Virgin mobile? My J7 is being serviced and I am trying to revive this one for temporary\future use.

Here is what I have tried so far...
Build.prop - The following parameters were copied from CarbonRom
ro.product.brand
ro.telephony.default_network
cdma.apn.sim.operator.numeric
cdma.operator.numeric
cdma.sim.operator.numeric
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha
ro.com.android.dataroaming
ro.ril.hsxpa
ro.ril.gprsclass

I also replaced...
apns-conf.xml from system\etc
eri.xml from framework-res.apk

But when I try to boot, it just hangs at LG logo indefinitely. I expect YMMV when converting Roms, but if anybody has any tips to try, it would be appreciated.

Well, I've got it working with ringplus (using sprint's cdma and lte). I think virgin is similar. Grab the carbon rom beta. Unzip it (I use 7-zip, windows extraction and winzip have given me problems). Unzip this rom. Take the files you need from cm11 (apn and whatever else). You can just use the entire build prop, but I would leave the top portion, that shows gamerom rom and the build. If worse comes to worse, take all the files and folders from gamer rom and copy them into carbon rom, then use the build prop from carbon rom, and just overwrite the top portion with the build info/etc (like the top 25 lines)) from gamer rom's build prop. I think that's how I got it to work, it took like 3 or 4 tries though, so I'm not certain, so files did have to stay in (gamer rom) to get it to boot, but it wasn't that hard.
If I remember anything else, I'll post.

I've caught the Pokemon Go bug and the CM11 ROM doesn't run this so well. I haven't messed around with compiling anything before. Should I know anything else besides throwing some files from different ROMs into a zip file?

Wow hey if he/you attempting to port to another device and using GamerROM OS to revive your device shouldnt you ask me 1st to use my OS files to port the rom it would seem respectful because doing this violates my terms of service for my os http://gamerromos.weebly.com/terms-of-service.html here is a link to view, however if you think ive granted you permission to please message me

Be also aware of any file you take from my OS must be credit to me thanks

What's wrong with it? I want to install this ROM for just Pokemon GO and was wondering how it runs.
