Help LAN storage android

A

Android Question

Guest
Hi. Is it possible to make LAN storage(external sd card) between Android phone and PC(windows). I had a plan to mount disk, flash drive on PC as external sd card so my android is able to read that sd card then I can install any android app on PC's sd card. We already know android can access video, text IMG on PC through wireless connection. Please help me and let me know what should I do.i hope you can catch my drift thx before

If I'm reading this correctly, you want to attach a USB disk to your PC, mount it wirelessly to your phone, install an app on the wireless drive and have the app work on your device? Is that right?

Unfortunately, that's not going to work. Unless you have some sort of emulation running, windows sees the apk as a compressed file and treats it as such meaning it's not installable.

If you access the apk via your phone, it will install on your phone, not the PC.

The simplest solution is to setup a wifi hotspot with SD card support, any phone or computer connected to that wifi hotspot can access the SD card. Personally I use a Huawei wifi mobile with a 32gb SD card as files storage.

The only problem I encountered with this setup is that I can only upload files smaller than 2Gb to the wireless storage, for files larger than 2gb I have to use an USB cable.

Thx for your answer. Yes I want running app on the android(phone) by installing on the PC instead of android device. How about if I use software such as "bluestack" on the windows to simulate android environment? Will it works? How about if I access app(included apk, obb file) between Android and android through wifi hotspot?

I don't know what are you up to? Why do you upload file if you had wifi hotspot to transfer data. As far I know I just simply connect into wifi then open PC"s shared folder. Dude I don't talking about cloud storage such as Google drive.
