Basically my phone's fingerprint sensor button can open any app, but not shortcuts. I've gotten around this by compiling tasker tasks into apps with app factory and then assigning them to the button in the phone settings. However, now I want to assign a more complicated task to it that needs access to a tasker variable that is updated by two separate profiles. I can't just compile it into an app with app factory because then it won't be able to access the variable it needs. My first thought was to compile another task with app factory that just launched a tasker shortcut to the task I needed. However, it looks like secure settings can't create tasker shortcuts, as it can't open the tasker task selection view recursively inside of tasker.
Now, my problem could also be solved by a plugin that tells me if a specific app has an unread/permanent notification active. The variable I need to access just tells the task which of two apps has posted a notification most recently. This method wouldn't be as robust and isn't preferred, but would be simpler and probably more plausable.
