Help Google Now recognizing more than one language

Hello everyone!

I love being able to tell my phone to "Call Jim" and it does it without any more actions required.

But as 95% of my work contacts are Chinese, this doesn't help me much while I am working.

Is there a way i can let Google Now recognize both Chinese and English?

I can foresee this becoming very annoying when it thinks I'm speaking Chinese but actually I'm speaking English and visa versa, but I'd like to try anyway.

Any thoughts?

Google is still planning to include on-the-fly multiple language support in Google Now, but it won't be arriving in the coming days as previously revealed.

...and that was two years ago.

I think the difficulty comes, in it determining what language you're speaking in. I suppose it could be done by it recognizing with a certain starting keyword or phrase, e.g. OK, Google vs Ni hao, Guge. But I don't think it can do that. You have to set it manually to recognize either English or Chinese.

Hi,
It is possible if there is the language by default.
It will change system, google map, google keyboard, google play store language.
It is not possible to change only google keyboard typing language.
Go to settings>scroll down to language&input,
Tap here and scroll down
to "text-to-speech output" and tap on it.
Next screen see "google text-to-speech engine",
Next to this tap on the gear icon[in old versions three horizontal lines)
Tap on the language button at top.
Select language and tap on it.
On this screen see below "install voice data"
tap on this button to download voice data for this language.
After the download finished,
Return settings>>>language & input>
At the top see "languages" tap here and
Select the same language.
These settings change google keyboard typing language, home language, google play store language.
To change google keyboard voice typing language
Go to settings> scroll down to language&input> voice input> enhanced google services> gear icon next to this.
Languages> scroll down to the same language> check in the box and uncheck in other languages and tap on the save button.
Reboot /restart device.
