Before there are gripes, I know there are other posts similar to this one, but they in no way help me.
About a week ago, the phone began restarting whenever it was on the charger. I went ahead and factory restored, even though I hadn't installed anything new in months. Didn't help.
And, then last night it began doing it off the charger, and now it is in an infinite loop. I've tried hard resetting, pulling battery, safe mode, pulling sim and sd cards, and not only did none of that work, it didn't even attempt to go to any of those modes. Well a couple of times the droid popped up for a second with the hard reset, but immediately back to the loop.
It will go into custom rom, but I have never attempted to root or any type of jailbreak to this phone.
With that said, please don't tell me my power button is jammed. If it were, I couldn't go into custom rom.
I don't understand all of these roms you want people to do. I'm basic, I just want to know why tf my phones jacked, especially since I didn't root,or even install anything new.

Apologies for replying so late.

Standard disclamer (Sorry. Though required on flashing instructions.):

FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS VOIDS WARRANTY.
THERE IS ALSO THE POSSIBILITY OF BRICKING THE DEVICE TO WHERE IT MAY NOT BE RECOVERABLE.
PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.
THESE ARE NOT MY FILES AND I CANNOT CONFIRM THEIR ORIGIN(S) OR SAFETY.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE INCURRED.

Now with that said, if you're willing to try to resurrect your device form the bootloop; here are the Windows instructions:

Get Odin 3.0.4 and extract the files. - Google with care as there is malware out there for Odin variants. I cannot vouch for the version of Odin included, though it didn't set off my virus scanner. (Doesn't install, only the executable.)

There is a link to a rooted stock recovery image here (And a walkthrough) download and extract the files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489238

Make sure to only flash the correct model matching your device!

Put the phone into download mode:
Vol Down + Home Button + Power

Run Odin as Administrator (Hence the additional warning of Googling Odin with care.)

Connect it to the computer via USB

Odin should show the device as connected via a light blue/teal block that will say COM:#

Check PDA box and select the md5 file.

Do not unplug the phone or pull the battery until it reboots.

I'd advise letting it boot fully and shutting down, then restarting the device normally to see if it loops again. - If it doesn't, great. If it does, you can try flashing the ROM again to get it out of the bootloop.

If after/When it works: You can go into SuperSU > Settings > Full Unroot - Should you prefer a non-rooted device.

Unfortunately I've yet to cross a firmware that isn't rooted.

Good luck!
