Hi,
my HD saves the photos and videos in this way: IMAG0001 IMAG0002 etc.
Is it possible to change to: date of taken photo/video?

For example: Nokia makes folders for each day, month... but HTC puts new photos/videos in same folder as previus only with new higher number for example: IMAG0010 IMAG0011....
Any solution?

Thank You in advance.

Yea, I think this is a very simple feature and many many of us seem to want it. I'd love to have all my photos in order by the date and time they were taken, I'm quite possibly going to do the step littlemiss suggested on over 1000 photos manually one by one. Android should try a bit more to fufill these simple requests of customers as much as possible, my next phone will probably be an apple device that has these kind of preset features, not all of us are programmers. Anyway it's a shame.

Unfortunately I don't have a fix for changing a series after its been taken already, however, hopefully this could be helpful for future projects. This is a way you can identify a series in your own way or name a photo before you take it. If you download the Open Source Camera for Android you have the option in the settings to specify how you want to name a certain photo or set of photos with prefix . This can include many more characters than just the standard 3 for vid or img. Just go to "more camera controls" in your settings and go to "save photo prefix" or "save video prefix". In addition, this is probably the best free camera you can download for android.

Is there some app I can download that enables me to choose the way I want the photos' filenames automated?

Hello,
try our new app Rename Photos. It is an app that quickly and easily rename photo and video titles in the DCIM directory, where the Camera App stores it to the selected format.
There are two renaming formats to choose from: Standard and Expert

Standard:
• photos: img_DATE_TIME.jpg, dsc_SERIAL_NO.jpg
(e.g. IMG_20190615_124530.jpg, DSC_1234.jpg)
• videos: vid_DATE_TIME.mp4, mov_1234.mp4
(e.g. IMG_20190615_124530.mp4, MOV_1234.mp4)

Expert:
• photos: DATE_TIME.jpg, SERIAL_NO.jpg
(e.g. 2019-06-15_12-45-30.jpg, 001234.jpg)
• videos: DATE_TIME.mp4, SERIAL_NO.mp4
(e.g. 2019-06-15_12-45-30.mp4, 001234.mp4)
• this expert format allows better sorting, because videos will also be placed between
photos alphabetically, not separately at the end of the directory.
