New Update on 12/2/16

I just got a notification that a new update was available and I just got done installing it. I am posting and wondering if everybody on here also got this update. I t said it updated security, the camera and some other things. I hope it addresses some of the battery wifi issues also.

I got an update as well, something about camera quality etc
I didn't check the version numbers before but I don't see much new/that has changed.

I just updated... went from 24.03 to 28.00. We'll see what happens. Hopefully fewer wifi locks and wakelocks.

According to the s60 thread over on xda, this update fixes the vulnerability that was known. So, I guess they're on top of making sure root access is never achieved.

I keep getting a download notification for some "Hiking trails" app. It shows the progress in negative numbers and then disappears. This started occurring after the update.

Had the same thing, it tried a few times, then stopped, dont know wether it installed or not.

Upgrade hasnt fixed the low volume of notifications while playing music via Bluetooth either.

battery time has improved; though I wasnt having problems with it, before hand

IF camera loads much faster now, and normal camera auto focuses faster

I've been using wifi alot since the u/g. Funnily enough it doesn't show in the battery usage any more.....I wonder why

It also drops wifi alot as well, despite been in clear veiw of the router 10'away. Ipad doesnt have any problems sat next to it.

Hasnt stopped low volume of notifications either, while using Bluetooth to stream music

Edit; wifi now showing in battery usage, only 1%. Prior to u/g I would have expected 10%+ for the amount of time I've had it on

North American variant (single SIM) My only complaint thus far is the metal cover came unglued from the rubber USB cover.

I wanted to bump this. My picture and video quality is horrible since the update. I did back to back comparisons to my coworker's Google Pixel, that has a 12MP camera, and the image quality of the S60 is a joke compared to his.

I love the battery life and thermal camera, but I'm thinking about tossing this phone into the tool box just to use as a thermal camera, and getting a different phone with a better camera for daily use. Taking photos at Christmas time was a shame, as it was difficult to walk away with a decent quality shot of anything.
